The voting period for Dabeme Music Awards has started and numerous K-pop acts got nominations in several categories, including some of the biggest groups like BTS, BLACKPINK, TWICE, GOT7, and more!

What is Dabeme Music Awards?

Dabeme Music Awards is an award ceremony in Brazil hosted by Dabeme TV, which is one of the major television networks in the country. This ceremony will determine the best artists, music, and releases of the year in 11 categories. The works qualified in this year's voting are the ones launched last year, so this is fans' chance to support their favorite acts who despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic still presented us impressive works that helped us get through this difficult time.

Here's How You Can Vote for Your Favorite Groups

This year, there are more than 25 nominated artists from all over the world. The voting will take place from Feb. 4 to 27. Fans can vote when and how many times they like. To vote, fans only need to go to the official website of the awards ceremony and choose their favorite artists in the respective categories. For votes to be valid, fans have to be following the official Twitter account of Dabeme Music Awards, @DabemePOP.

Below are the categories and nominees:

Fandom of the Year

In the "Fandom of the Year" award, almost all nominees are K-pop fandoms - one fan club is for a Latin American boy band based in Miami, CNCO. As of this writing, Stays (Stray Kids' fan club) is taking the lead and is followed by ARMYs (BTS's fan club).

Nominees (K-pop): ARMYs, EXO-Ls, BLINKs, ONCEs, NCTzens, Ahgases, Stays, Orbits, Buddys, E.L.Fs, and Reveluvs.

Album of the Year

In this category, only seven acts are nominated and they are all K-pop artists. As of this writing, LOONA is at No. 1 and followed by BTS.

Favorite Male Artist

Five K-pop artists are pitted against international acts. As of this writing, EXO Baekhyun is at the top spot, and SHINee Taemin comes next.

Nominees (K-Pop): EXO Baekhyun, Kang Daniel, Park Jin-young, SHINee Taemin, and Zico.

Collaboration of the Year

Only three Korean acts got a nomination in this category. As of this writing, "Eight" by IU X Suga comes first and followed by BLACKPINK's "Ice Cream" with Selena Gomez.

Video of the Year

To vote for the video of the year, fans need to log in to their TikTok account and evaluate all the clips. Whoever has the most public approval wins.

Artist of the Year

Five K-pop artists are nominated in this category. As of this writing, TWICE is the one leading, and BTS follows.

Nominees (K-Pop): BLACKPINK, BTS, EXO Baekhyun, GOT7, and TWICE.

New Artist of the Year

Almost all the nominees here are K-pop acts. Girl group Weeekly has the most votes as of this writing, and TREASURE has the second most votes.
