FTISLAND Members Support Hong Ki's Acting Debut

FTISLAND vocalist Lee Hong Ki gets another big break by being casted in his first movie 'Passionate Goodbye' where he portrays a character close to his heart -- being a singer in a rock band.

Lee Hong Ki is FTISLAND lead vocalist and essentially also the band's most popular member, due to his position. Gifted with a lot of talent, he has powerful vocals, unique rapping and even able to beatbox.  His understated talents are acting and MC skills. As such he is very much in demand in Korean entertainment to be host in variety shows and also to play in dramas or movies.  Prior to debuting as a musician in FTISLAND, Lee Hong Ki was a child actor.

Celebrating their lead vocalist's recent success, FTISLAND drummer Choi Min Hwan tweeted a supportive message for Lee Hong Ki and asked the public to show their love and support to his movie. The group's maknae shared in his tweet that while watching the movie, his eyes got puffy because of crying in the emotional scenes.  'Passionate Goodbye' opened in theaters in Korea on May 30th and had the movie premiere prior to that, where FTISLAND members, as well as Hong Ki's labelmates in FNC entertainment all made a strong showing.

In a show and statement of support dummer Minhwan and rhythm guitarist Song Seung Hyun shared how carried away they were to the point of cryin while watching the movie.  They admitted immersing well with the movie's scenes and relating to scenes they also have experienced in real life.

Indeed Hong Ki is lucky, and he knows this.  Lee Hong Ki, on the other hand, was very grateful to his fellow FTISLAND members. He was hoping that the audience also loves the movie, and be able to relate well for it to transpire into an emotional phenomenon. More than his acting, Lee Hong Ki is proud of the message that the movie tries to send across.
