BTS is the K-Pop Group Who Gained the Most YouTube Subscribers
In Feb., BTS gained 1.2 million subscribers, bringing their total subscribers to 45.5 million followers by the end of the said month. They are not only the male group who gained the most YouTube subscribers but are the K-pop act that gained the most subscribers in Feb. overall. As of press time, BTS has over 46.2 million subscribers.
BTS established their official YouTube channel, BANGTAN TV, on Dec. 17, 2012. Since then, BTS has amassed 9,059,290,060 views across all their videos. The channel currently has 1.4k videos uploaded to the channel, with the most recent upload being posted on Mar. 13. Titled "BTS (방탄소년단) 'Dynamite' # Music On A Mission | MusiCares," the video is just one of many "Dynamite" performances shared on their channel.
Besides videos of their performances, BTS also upload vlogs titled "BANGTAN BOMBS" to their YouTube channel. The boys also use the channel to upload their solo releases, behind-the-scenes videos, and more.
ASTRO is the Second Male K-Pop Group Who Gained the Most YouTube Subscribers
Following BTS is the Fantagio boy group, ASTRO. ASTRO gained 280k subscribers on YouTube in Feb., bringing their total subscriber count to 3.8 million by the end of the said month. As of press time, ASTRO has over 3.89 million subscribers on their official YouTube channel.
ASTRO established their official YouTube channel on Aug. 14, 2015. Since then, ASTRO has amassed 339,438,661 views across all their videos. The channel currently has 386 videos uploaded to their channel, with the most recent video being uploaded on Mar. 15. The most recent video, titled ."[ASTRO PLAY] 옥상토마 JJIN SOUND by 찐셰프," is a vlog of ASTRO member Jinjin cooking and eat meat at a rooftop.
Other than vlogs and reality shows, ASTRO uses their official YouTube channel to upload their music videos and dance practices. It is also used for the boys to share their solo content, such as covers. ASTRO also uses their official YouTube channel to share behind-the-scenes videos of their shoots and performances.
