BLACKPINK Rosé Becomes the Fastest K-pop Artist to Reach This Number of Monthly Listeners on Spotify Listeners

It has been a week since BLACKPINK Rosé made her highly-anticipated solo debut with her single album "-R-," which comprises her two solo tracks "On the Ground" and "Gone." Her debut songs were released on various music sites including Spotify.

Just after one week, BLACKPINK Rosé has made history on Spotify for being the fastest K-pop act to garner such a huge number of monthly listeners.

BLACKPINK Rosé Becomes the Fastest K-pop Artist to Attain Five Million Spotify Monthly Listeners

On March 12, Rosé's debut songs were distributed on different music sites including Spotify. She is the second BLACKPINK member to have her own account on the platform with her solo tracks, following Jennie.

On March 19, one week after she made her solo debut, BLACKPINK Rosé has incredibly attained a large number of monthly listeners on Spotify. The "On the Ground" singer has become the fastest K-pop artist in history to reach five million monthly listeners on the audio streaming service. She currently has 5,521,881 people listening to her debut songs.

Other than that, BLACKPINK Rosé is currently the No. 1 K-pop soloist, as well as the No. 1 YG artist and female K-pop solo artist, with the highest monthly listeners on Spotify.

After Rosé, the other female K-pop soloists with the highest monthly listeners are IU with 4.7 million listeners, Chungha with 3.6 million listeners, Hwasa with 2.7 million listeners, and Girls' Generation Taeyeon with 2.5 million listeners.

As of writing, Rosé's "On the Ground" has surpassed 20.5 million streams on Spotify, and "Gone" has exceeded 15 million streams. These tracks have become the Top 2 biggest 2021 song debuts on Spotify by a K-pop artist. "On the Ground" quickly gained 4.64 million streams, while "Gone" had 4.01 million streams.

In addition, BLACKPINK Rosé's single album "-R-" made the biggest 2021 album debut on the platform. It garnered 8.66 million streams, surpassing ATEEZ's "ZERO: FEVER Part.2" with 1.81 million streams.

BLACKPINK Rosé Enters Spotify Charts and Playlists with "On the Ground" and Gone"

Meanwhile, Rosé has been ranking on Spotify charts with her solo tracks "On the Ground" and "Gone" since her single album was dropped on March 12. On March 20, "On the Ground" at No. 1 on the Spotify Korea Top 200 chart with 18,889 streams, while "Gone" ranked third with 10,683 streams.

On the Global Spotify Top 200 Chart, BLACKPINK Rosé's "On the Ground" hits No. 16 with 2.39 million streams, while "Gone" takes the no. 49 position with 1.44 million streams.

"On the Ground" also managed to make it to the Top 5 of Spotify's latest "Trending Tracks" playlist. It is sitting at No. 2 as of press time, becoming the highest-ranking K-pop song on the said playlist.

Other K-pop tracks ranking on the list are IU's "Celebrity" at No. 7, ASTRO Cha Eun Woo's "Love So Fine" at No. 40, and SF9 Chani's "Starlight" at No. 72.

Furthermore, BLACKPINK Rosé's "On the Ground" has become the cover and even topped Spotify's most recent "It's a Hit" playlist.
