After being bombarded by (G)I-DLE fans to release a statement concerning the rumors that Soojin bullied her, actress Seo Shin Ae has finally spoken up in an Instagram post. Keep on reading to learn more.

Seo Shin Ae States on Instagram She Was Bullied by (G)I-DLE's Soojin

On Friday, Mar. 26, Seo Shin Ae released a statement through her personal Instagram concerning the rumors she was bullied by (G)I-DLE member Soojin.

In her post, she reveals that she was, in fact, bullied by the idol, saying that she was constantly mocked and bullied during the two years she spent in that school.

Her whole statement reads:

"Hello. This is actress Seo Shin Ae.

Around ten years ago, I was a young, cowardly person. However, because I felt that if I let my fears and hesitations control me, I would be very disappointed in myself and regret my future actions. I have decided to muster up my courage to speak now.

I started working in the entertainment industry at an early age, but I was a regular student in school, just like everyone else. In middle school, I moved to a new school during the first semester of my second year, where I tried my best to get along with all my classmates.

The individual who mentioned me always cursed and mocked me for two years with her 'group' while on the way to school, during breaks in the hallway, in the cafeteria. Every day, everywhere, saying things like, 'She is not even pretty, how did she become a celebrity?' 'Her fame is a thing of the past,' 'No wonder she is a loner,' 'I do not know why the teachers give her special treatment.' They repeatedly verbally harassed me.

Sure, it could have been due to jealousy or ignorance of the youth, and they could have said those words without giving it a second thought, but the things they said are still deeply etched into my heart as cards today. The scars that piled on top of each other back then have now become a large bruise, and I eventually grew to fear others. Those fears then became a trauma, turning me into an introvert and hindering my high school advancement.

Due to those experiences, I learned that emotional and mental abuse could have a lasting effect on someone, just as much as physical abuse can.

The person says they do not remember and that they never spoke to me, which is true. It was entirely one-sided verbal harassment. They continue to deny that they ever said those spiteful words behind my back, which I think is disappointing.

I do not know what sort of witness testimonies or evidence they claim to have obtained. Still, I question whether that person's selective memory of what happened is capable enough of covering everything up.

If you are currently struggling due to school violence, please have courage and ask for help from the people around you. I was not able to at the time, as I believed that I would just heal with time, but I quickly learned that is not the case.

I feel sorry that this has caused people concern and worry. From now on, I want to meet you with activities as an actress, and not through my personal issues. I hope that you all will be happy as we welcome the month of April, and I hope that you will continue to power through the tough times brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.

(G)I-DLE Fans Bombard Seo Shin Ae with Malicious Comments, Demanded a Statement from Her

Previously, (G)I-DLE fans left malicious comments on Seo Shin Ae's social media accounts, demanding a statement from the actress. This comes following Soojin's length statement countering all the claims she was a school bully.

In the statement, Soojin directly mentions Seo Shin Ae, saying:

"Every time I made a new statement about the situation, actress Seo Shin Ae would post at the same time, and many people misunderstood and thought I committed school violence against her. I strongly request Seo Shin Ae to clarify her stance on this, as I am not guilty."
