NCT Dream, The Boyz, and WEi to Perform at 2021 Busan One Asia Festival

NCT Dream, The Boyz, and WEi have been confirmed to make an appearance at the 2021 Busan One Asia Festival (BOF). In particular, these three K-pop boy groups will perform at 2021 BOF's K-pop Concert in May.

According to their website, Busan One Asia Festival merges an array of the cultural content of Busan with the Korean wave content. It also claims to portray Asia's cultural content with Busan and shares it with the youth all over the world.

The 2021 BOF plans to hold three programs for four days, from May 6 to May 9. One of these is a K-pop concert. On March 29, the Busan One Asia Festival unveiled the first lineup of performers for the upcoming K-pop Concert, and they are all K-pop boy groups.

The first artist they revealed is NCT Dream. This boy band is currently preparing for their long-awaited comeback with all seven members, namely Mark, Jeno, Renjun, Chenle, Jaemin, Haechan, and Jisung. According to SM Entertainment, the group is preparing to release a new album.

This will be NCT Dreams' official comeback with Mark, who previously graduated from the group in accordance with the graduation system that involves leaving the group once they reach the age of 20. But then, SM Entertainment made NCT Dream a fixed unit with permanent members.

The Boyz is another K-pop boy group that will perform at the K-pop Concert, which is part of the 2021 Busan One Asia Festival. The Boyz, who recently showed a different side of them in their first Japanese studio album, is expected to bring joy to the fans with the fresh and various charms of the 11 members.

The Boyz is also one of the participants in Mnet's "Kingdom: Legendary War," which will begin airing on April 1. The group is the announced winner in the preliminary season "Road to Kingdom," in which seven boy groups dueled for a spot on "Kingdom."

And the third performer at the 2021 K-pop Concert of BOF is WEi, a new K-pop boy group that made its debut in October 2020. The members are Daehyeon, Yohan, Seokhwa, Yongha, Junseo, and Donghan. This rookie group has been recognized for stable live vocals and powerful dance moves.

On Feb. 24, WEi made their first comeback with their second extended play "Identity: Challenge." The new group previously won the "APAN Choice New K-pop Icon" at the 2020 APAN Music Awards.

Meanwhile, the K-pop Concert featuring NCT Dream, The Boyz, and WEi will be held on May 8, Saturday. Although, Busan One Asia Festival noted that the guests, schedule, and time for the programs are subject to change. Apart from the K-pop Concert, the 2021 BOF will also conduct a BOF Land for two days, on May 6 and May 9, plus a "Park Concert" on May 9.

Busan One Asia Festival is yet to provide more details about its upcoming programs, which will follow the COVID-19 guidelines to ensure the safety and health of the participants.
