Let's face the facts, shall we? When it comes to coming up with group names, Korean agencies aren't the best with it. Sometimes I do wonder if they sit there with an English dictionary and randomly pick out adjectives and squash them together. Nonetheless, here's part one of our favorite group acronyms!

MBLAQ stands for "Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality" and you would think their mentor Rain could have come up with something more grammatically correct! Despite the strange acronym, MBLAQ has been busy making their super-star boss proud with their string of hits and entertaining ways. MBLAQ recently made a comeback with a single called "Smoky Girl," and have plans to host "SNL Korea," where they promise some R-rated comedy and loads of raunchiness.

B.A.P stands for "Best Absolute Perfect" and they are proving to the world that indeed they are the best rookie group around. B.A.P is currently shattering the rookie game with their huge hits, charismatic dance performances, and unique looks. They are absolutely the current boy group to beat-pun intended.

G.O.D stands for "Groove Over Dose" and was a mega boy group under JYP Entertainment. Comprised of members Son Ho Young, Kim Tae Woo, Danny Ahn, Park Joon Hyung, and Yoon Kye Sang, the five singers were most definitely an overdose of groove and hotness. They are one of the few groups to ever have sold more than a million copies. Though the group has split up with various careers in hosting, acting, and singing, they still remain one of the most successful boy groups ever to make their mark in K-pop.

DMTN stands for "Desire Motivation Timing Now." They are a six-member boy group under the management company IS Entermedia Group. Everything about the group's name was fine until the "TN" portion of the name. Unfortunately, as life would have it, DMTN's timing was indeed now, just for the wrong reasons. Member Daniel has been on trial for the suspicion for using and selling marjiuana. He later admitted to aiding in the distribution of the illegal goods.

LED Apple is a five-membered group under Startory Entertainment. The group first came out stating that the "LED" in the name stands for Logic Egoism Delete. When no one and their moms could understand what in the world that meant, the group changed it to "shining as brightly as LED whenever they perform." The "Apple" in the band's name represents their fresh image and music.
