2NE1 Is Reportedly Releasing New Music in May 2021

Park Bom stunned many fans when she accidentally revealed during a radio guesting on Sunday, April 11, that she had recorded a track with former co-members DARA, CL and Minzy. The K-pop icon said that the four of them met during their 11^th anniversary.

The "Fire" hitmaker went on to say that the quartet has something special for their avid followers. Even the radio host was shocked by Park Bom's revelation that she was asked if it was okay to announce that.

Park Bom confirmed that DARA, CL, Minzy and her recorded something. However, the former 2NE1 member shared that they still do not know if it would ever be released. Even DARA, CL and Minzy have not revealed details about it.

The statements of Park Bom, then, gave birth to rumors saying that 2NE1 is planning to make a comeback very soon. Sources even suggested that the foursome recorded a track during Minzy's birthday in January.

The same insiders further claimed that 2NE1 is planning to release their recorded song in May. However, nothing is finalized up until now. It was even claimed that CL composed the song the quartet recorded.

Unfortunately for fans, representatives of CL have denied the reports claiming that 2NE1 would be releasing a new song in May. Not only that because Park Bom's agency, D-NATION Entertainment, stated that the recording did not take place. So, devoted followers should take all these comeback rumors with a huge grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.

Former 2NE1 Members Dara and Minzy Also Hinted at Possible Comeback

Meanwhile, this is not the first time that a former 2NE1 member hit at a possible comeback. As a matter of fact, DARA hyped fans when she shared an adorable snap of herself in May 2015.

In the caption, the South Korean star said that she, Park Bom CL and Minzy were slowly getting back together. Dara even mentioned the group's devoted supporters, especially those who have been dying to get updates about 2NE1.

Earlier this year, Minzy also talked about the possible reunion of the K-pop quartet. During a guesting on Park Myung Soo's radio show, she divulged that she has been meeting up with CL, Park Bom and Dara even after their disbandment. The songstress added that they have been discussing about doing something together again.

At the time, Minzy even revealed that they were supposed to record BLACKPINK's chart-topping hit titled "As If It's Your Last." However, 2NE1 decided not to include it on their album since there were many other songs during that time.
