Apink Members except for Naeun Renew Contract + Naeun Reportedly in Talks to Join YG Entertainment
Only five Apink members have renewed their exclusive contracts with Play M Entertainment, while Naeun has decided not to extend her contract with the agency. It was reported that the latter is in talks to sign with YG Entertainment. Will Apink continue as a five-member group?
Apink Members except for Naeun Sign New Contract with Play M Entertainment
On April 29, Play M Entertainment announced that five Apink members - Park Chorong, Yoon Bomi, Jung Eunji, Kim Namjoo, and Oh Hayoung - have agreed to renew their exclusive contacts with them.

Son Naeun, however, did not sign a new contract after in-depth discussions with the company and her fellow Apink members. Play M Entertainment stated that Naeun wishes to pursue her new dreams. While Naeun has decided to leave Play M Entertainment, she will still be part of the girl group.
The label added that they will strive to create sustainable and reasonable terms so that Naeun will be able to join Apink for future promotions. Play M further stated that Apink, who is celebrating their 10th anniversary of debut this year, is currently preparing for their comeback with the release of a new album.
Apink Naeun Reportedly in Discussions of Signing a Contract with YG Entertainment
Following the announcement of Play M Entertainment, Ilgan Sports issued an exclusive report regarding Apink Naeun. The Korean media outlet stated that an industry official told them that Son Naeun is currently talking with YG Entertainment about joining the company.

It is said that the Apink member has been in talking with BLACKPINK's agency since the beginning of April. A representative of YG Entertainment stated that they had a "positive discussion" with the female idol regarding the signing of an exclusive contract.
Naeun, who is Apink's visual, center, and lead dancer, first became a trainee under JYP Entertainment before joining Play M Entertainment. She was the first member of the girl group to be introduced in 2011. Son made her debut in April of the same year.
Throughout her career of being an artist under Play M Entertainment, Apink Naeun completed not only activities in her music career but also her acting career. She debuted as an actress in 2012 in the historical drama "The Great Seer." Since then, she was cast in more K-dramas and movies.
Apink's "Thank You" Enters Domestic and International Music Charts
Meanwhile, Apink dropped a special digital single titled "Thank You" on April 19 in celebration of their 10th anniversary of debut. Shortly after release, the song entered iTunes charts in different countries. It ranked first on iTunes Top Songs chart in Bahrain, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and El Salvador.

Moreover, Apink's "Thank You" entered the top 15 of iTunes charts in countries like Thailand, Taiwan, and the Philippines, and also made it to the top 40 in Vietnam and Indonesia.
The digital single even scored a spot on Korean music charts. The single debuted at No. 40 on Bugs, No. 61 on Genie, and No. 97 on MelOn.
