BTS Becomes First Artist to Claim Top 4 Spots on Billboard's World Albums Chart Simultaneously + 'Singularity' Re-Enters Charts at No.1

BTS makes history once again by claiming the top four spots in a Billboard chart simultaneously. In addition, V's "Singularity" re-enters the charts at no.1.

BTS Becomes First Artist to Claim Top 4 Spots on Billboard's World Albums Chart Simultaneously

On May 4, Billboard announced on their official Twitter account for Billboard charts that BTS has become the first artist in history to claim the entire top four spots of Billboard's World Albums chart - all at the same time!

Claiming the top four spots are BTS's "Map of the Soul: 7," "BE," "Love Yourself: Answer" and "Love Yourself: Tear", in consecutive order.

In addition, their fourth Korean studio album, "Map of the Soul: 7" that was released on February 21, 2020, has been on the World Albums chart at the top spot on no.1 for 27 weeks straight, showcasing their global popularity and power to stay on the charts as a top artist.

The World Albums chart isn't the only chart "Map of the Soul: 7" is in. According to Billboard, the album is currently charting in Billboard 200 at no.111, and is still going strong after 62 weeks on the chart, making BTS the Korean artist who is staying on the charts the longest.

In addition, "Map of the Soul: 7" is also on Billboard's Top Current Album Sales at no.12, Independent Albums at no.13 and Top Album Sales at no.14.

Their fifth Korean album, "BE" that was released on November 20, 2020, is also on Billboard 200 at no.137, continuing to stay on the charts after 23 weeks. The album is also charting on Top Current Album Sales at no.20, Independent Albums at no.22 and Top Album Sales at no.29.

BTS V's "Singularity" Re-Enters Charts at No.1 

Re-entering Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart at no.1 is none other than BTS's V's solo song, "Singularity"!

In light of the song's third-year anniversary since its release on May 7, 2018, fans had decided to stream and hold buying parties. With "Singularity" re-entering the charts, BTS earns its record-extending 28th no.1 on World Digital Song Sales in their entire career.

In addition, "Singularity" becomes BTS's sixth song to re-enter the World Digital Song Sales at no.1, following their songs "Mic Drop" featuring Desiigner, "Make It Right" featuring Lauv, "ON," "Inner Child" by V and Agust D's "Daechwita," once again making BTS the first artist to do so.

In other news, BTS will be making their comeback with their upcoming all-English song, "Butter," to be released on May 21 KST.
