Korean Media Outlet Says TXT is the 'Next BTS' and Representative of K-pop's Fourth Generation

On May 12, TXT became the main subject of Star News's "FOCUS," the Korean media outlet's segment of centering the topic on the lives and recent situations of Korean celebrities.
The outlet took note of TXT's past achievements and the strategy that put them on the right track to becoming the "next BTS" and among the best fourth-generation K-pop groups.
TXT Is Regarded As the "Next BTS" and Representative of K-pop's Fourth Generation
Following their debut in 2019, TXT earned the titles of "a newcomer from Big Hit" and "BTS's younger brothers." Expectations were high on the rookie group's performance in the K-pop industry considering that their senior group, BTS, has become one of today's top boy groups around the world.
Over the years, TXT slowly showcased their potential of becoming the next big thing in K-pop.
TXT's Accomplishments Since Their Debut in 2019
First of all, just a few months after they debuted in March 2019, TOMORROW X TOGETHER won a rookie award at the 2019 Asia Artist Awards. They also put on an outstanding performance at the event, showcasing their incredible singing and dancing skills.

TXT even received three music show trophies with their debut song "Crown." In particular, they took home their first trophy just less than two weeks after debuting.
Moreover, the quintet became the first-ever K-pop boy group to rank No. 1 on the US iTunes Top Album Chart with "The Dream Chapter: Star."
The new boy group went on to chart on the Billboard 200, claiming the no. 140 spot with their debut album. With this, they have become the fastest Korean act to enter the American music chart. Their ranking is also the highest position among the debut albums that made it to the chart.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER then broke their own record on Billboard 200. Their third mini-album "minisode1: Blue Hour" ranked 25th on the chart, beating the record set by "The Dream Chapter: Star."

And regarding their upcoming second studio album, "The Chaos Chapter: Freeze," TXT is already making headlines ahead of their comeback as the album reached more than 500,000 pre-orders, making the group a "half-million" seller.
How Did TXT Remain Popular in the K-pop Scene?
But of course, TXT has still a long way to go to becoming the "next BTS." While achievements can highlight the presence of an idol group in the K-pop scene, it still takes a long time to reach tremendous popularity. Not to mention, it is difficult to make one's name known just by simply releasing albums.
Considering this, TXT used another strategy to be recognized worldwide - through targeting overseas markets and be active in their home country.
Since their debut, Beomgyu, Soobin, Taehyun, Yeonjun, and Huening Kai have been communicating with the fans across the globe, even during the pandemic. Members Taehyun and Huening Kai were even active as DJs of EBS Radio Show "Listen" from January to April this year.
