BTS's 'Butter', EVERGLOW's 'FIRST,' & More are the Most Viewed K-pop Music Videos for the 22nd Week of 2021
On June 1, K-pop Radar unveiled the top 10 K-pop music videos that gained the most views on the 22nd week of 2021 (May 23-29).

BTS's "Butter" is the Most-Viewed K-pop Music Video for the 22nd Week of 2021
BTS's "Butter" music video, which was released on May 21, rose to the top of the list of most-viewed K-pop music videos for the last week of May 2021. The MV recorded a total of 126,120,557 views in just one week.

According to K-pop Radar, the music video for BTS's "Butter" surpassed 200 million views in only 97 hours or four days and one hour, setting the shortest record in YouTube history to achieve the feat. It is 10 hours shorter than the previous record held by BTS's "Dynamite."
K-pop Radar added that BTS's "Butter" has achieved all the shortest records around the world to reach a certain number of views on YouTube. They predicted that the music video for "Butter" would hit 300 million views on June 2 as the MV is being watched by 6,246 people per minute.
Over the past seven days, BTS garnered a total of 468 million views for all its music videos. Japan has the highest proportion in the views with 13.5%, followed by India with 10%, Indonesia with 7%, South Korea with 6.7%, and the United States with 6.4%.

In addition to "Butter," BTS has four more entries in the list of top 10 most-viewed K-pop music videos in the last week of May 2021.
EVERGLOW's "FIRST" is the Most-Viewed K-pop Girl Group Music Video for the 22nd Week of 2021
After BTS's "Butter," EVERGLOW's "FIRST" gained the second-highest views on YouTube in the last week of May 2021 among the new and old K-pop music videos.
"FIRST" is the title track from EVERGLOW's latest album "Last Melody," which is the group's first release in eight months since their second mini-album "-77.82X.78.29."
According to K-pop Radar, the music video for EVERGLOW's "FIRST" attained 32,654,172 total views from May 23-29.
EVERGLOW's "FIRST" music video also ranked in the list of top 100 most-viewed music videos on YouTube Korea for the week of May 21 to 27. The MV claimed the No. 68 spot with 101,000 views. As of June 1, the video has surpassed 49 million views.

In addition, the music video for EVERGLOW's "FIRST" sits at No. 28 on the top 100 music videos trending worldwide as of May 31 at 10:40 p.m. EDT.
At the same time, the MV is trending at No. 14 in the Philippines, No. 20 in Malaysia, No. 26 in Singapore.
