Oh My Girl Becomes the First K-pop Girl Group in History to Achieve This Feat on MelOn Daily Chart Top 100

MelOn is the largest music platform in South Korea and is generally used by the public, with more than 28 million users. While other music charts in Korea are based on streams, MelOn focuses on the number of unique listeners.
Hence, for the MelOn Daily Chart, songs are ranked based on the tallied unique listeners within 24 hours. Since it is based on unique listeners and not streams, it is difficult for K-pop songs to chart as not all Koreans would listen to them.

Given this, it would be a great feat for K-pop artists if their songs would rank on the MelOn chart more than once. It would only mean their releases continue to garner unique listeners even after days and months of release.
Oh My Girl Becomes the First K-pop Girl Group in History to Spend This Long on MelOn Daily Chart Top 100
On the MelOn Daily Chart Top 100 as of June 7, Oh My Girl has three entries. The group's new song "Dun Dun Dance" came in No. 3, becoming their highest-ranking song on that day.
"Dun Dun Dance" has also recently become the first girl group song this 2021 to surpass 100,000 likes on MelOn. Moreover, the track has already reached 20 million streams on the platform, the first girl group song released this year to hit this mark.

Oh My Girl's 2020 songs "Dolphin" and "Nonstop" claimed the Nos. 34 and 54, respectively. These tracks are included in the group's seventh mini-album "Nonstop," which was released on April 27 last year.
On that day, Oh My Girl's "Dolphin" garnered an additional 2,226 unique listeners, accumulating a total of 152,397 unique listeners as of June 7.
Meanwhile, "Nonstop" gained 5,126 more unique listeners on June 7. It now has 125,495 total unique listeners, so far.

On that day, "Dolphin" marked its 401st consecutive day inside the MelOn Daily Chart Top 100, while "Nonstop" successfully spent 407 consecutive days.
With this, "Dolphin" by Oh My Girl has become the first B-side track by an idol group to spend 400 days within the MelOn Daily Chart Top 100.
What's more, Oh My Girl has become the first K-pop girl group in history with two songs that spent more than 400 days or more than a year inside the Top 100 of MelOn Daily Chart.
This only shows how Oh My Girl's "Nonstop" and "Dolphin" remained popular among the Koreans despite being released over a year ago.
Last year, "Nonstop" became the first girl group song in 2020 to spend a total of 11 weeks inside MelOn Weekly Chart Top 10. The track has even become the longest girl group song released in 2020 to stay at No. 1 on MelOn (more than 41 hours).
