BTS Jungkook is the First Korean Soloist to Set This Record on Billboard With His Solo Songs

BTS Jungkook sets a new record as a soloist!

According to the latest charts released by Billboard for the week of June 19, 2021, BTS Jungkook solo song "Euphoria" that was released back on August 5, 2018, as part of the group's second compilation album "Love Yourself: Answer," took the No. 5 spot on the World Digital Song Sales chart.

In addition, another of BTS Jungook's solo song, "My Time," which was released on February 21, 2020 as the ninth track in BTS' fourth studio album, "Map of the Soul: 7," re-entered at No.7 on the same Billboard chart.

Jungkook, as well as his solo songs "Euphoria" and "My Time," have proven their popularity with their long-run in the charts, with "Euphoria" charting for 69 weeks, and "My Time" charting for 65 weeks on the World Digital Songs Sales chart, making Jungkook the first Korean soloist to chart for more than 60 weeks - showing his worldwide popularity and vocal power.

Previously, "Euphoria" and "My Time" peaked at No.2 and No.1, respectively, on the Billboard chart.

Meanwhile, BTS Jungkook solo song "Euphoria" has surpassed 245 million streams on the largest music streaming platform, Spotify, which marks the first time for a solo song by a K-Pop male idol to do so. "My Time" also surpassed 124 million streams on the same platform.

BTS Jungkook Surpasses 54 Billion Views on Tik Tok

Jungkook once again showed off his overwhelming popularity!

According to media outlets, Jungkook's hashtag "#jungkook" on the popular short video platform, Tik Tok, had surpassed 54 billion views in just four days. On June 14, on the last day of BTS' online concert in celebration of the group's eighth anniversary since their debut, "2021 MUSTER: Sowoozoo," Jungkook's hashtag on the platform was recorded at 53 billion views.

On June 16, just after two days of the concert, the hashtag already increased to a whopping 600 million more views, accumulating a total of 53.6 billion views. The views continued to sky-rocket to an amazing 54 billion views after gaining 400 million more views after two more days on June 18, bringing Jungkook's hashtag an increase of a total of one billion in just four days alone.

Although Jungkook does not have his own personal Tik Tok account, he still proves to be the "Social Media King" with the hashtag alone. In addition, the hashtag is also the most viewed hashtag all over the world and on Tik Tok, making Jungkook the first person to do so on the platform.

Meanwhile, BTS recently concluded their two-day online concert held last June 13 and 14, with over 1.33 million viewers worldwide.
