TWICE Returns "Alcohol-Free" with "Taste of Love" Album

Back on June 9, TWICE returned after six months with their much-awaited new title track, "Alcohol-Free," which is part of the group's tenth mini-album, "Taste of Love"!

In addition, the comeback also features all nine members once again, after Jeongyeon and Mina took a hiatus from group activities due to health issues last year, making their comeback even more special to ONCEs - TWICE's fandom.

"Taste of Love," which was officially released on June 11, contains six tracks including their title track "Alcohol-Free," "First Time," "Scandal," "Conversation," "Baby Blue Love," and "SOS." The songs feature various genres such as bossa nova and hip-hop.

"Alcohol-Free," which is composed, written, and arranged by JYP Entertainment's very own J.Y Park, otherwise known as Park Jin Young, also features bossa nova and hip-hop that is made into a dance track. The song's lyrics also tell of the magical feeling of falling in love and comparing it to the feeling of getting drunk.

Following the release of "Taste of Love" and "Alcohol-Free," TWICE went on to top numerous domestic and international charts, as well as break records.

According to Hanteo Chart on the day of the album's release, "Taste of Love" had surpassed more than 180,000 physical album copies sold. Not only did "Taste of Love" have the highest number of album copies sold on June 11, but it also became the new overall highest in first-day album sales by a K-Pop girl group this year on the chart.

Further, "Taste of Love" was named by Pitchfork as the best K-Pop girl group album by a third-generation group. Pitchfork, which is known to be quite strict and picky when it comes to its ratings, had rated "Taste of Love" 7.3 out of 10, making it the second highest-rated K-Pop album.
