Following the attitude controversy of NCT Dream, Chinese Idols, who were actively promoting in Korea are continuously receiving criticism from Korean netizens.

On July 6, the Korean media outlet E-Today released an infographic that aimed to summarize the current criticism Chinese-born K-pop idols are receiving.

Reason Why Some K-Netz Want Chinese Idols To Be Banned in Korea

Korean internet users wanting Chinese idols to be banned in Korea has been going on for a year now. However, NCT Dream's attitude controversy triggered the issue once again, due to the group containing Chinese members such as Chenle and Renjun.

In particular, K-Netz voiced out that they are condemning Chinese idols not because of their race, but due to their behaviors.

In the infographics, Chinese K-pop stars who support and praise the Chinese government was listed, mentioning the reasons why they are also being criticized.

For the Chinese idols who supported cotton production in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in China – f(x) Victoria, EXO Lay, GOT7 Jackson, and Everglow Wang Yiren were included. The reason why people are infuriated with the stars supporting cotton from Xinjiang was because of the suspected forced labor against the Uygur community.

Following them, Cosmic Girls Cheng Xiao, Mei Qi, Xuan Yi, former Pristin Kyulkyung along with EXO Lay and f(x) Victoria were then criticized for describing Korean War as "Anti-U.S. Aid," which is an expression that means supporting North Korea against the U.S.

Previously, SEVENTEEN's Jun and The8, NCT Renjun and Chenle, (G)I-DLE's Yuqi, PENTAGON's Yan An, GOT7 Jackson, WJSN's Cheng Xiao, Mei Qi, Xuan Yi, etc. also posted congratulatory messages and photos on Weibo to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Communist Party of China.

Koreans are angered with their acts due to the Chinese idols continuously praising China while promoting and making money in Korea.

National Petition Asking to Ban Chinese Idols Activities in Korea Currently Signed by 14,000+ people

As a result, a Blue House Petition is now gaining attention from several Koreans. As of writing, the petition has already 14,000 signs.

Some Koreans insisted that Chinese idols agreed on "distorting history," wherein Koreans deeply remember and reflect on the horrendous and sad Korean War. Allegedly, their actions are also gaining remarks such as "They are doing the act of fooling around Korean fans" and "Why do you make money in Korea?"
