BLACKPINK Rosé gets a beautiful gift from John Mayer!
On July 16 KST, Rosé shared on her Instagram Stories a beautiful pink electric guitar that was gifted to her by one of her favorite singers, John Mayer! She accompanied her story with the caption, "Life is complete," and thanked the American singer-songwriter for his gift.
Not only that, but the guitar also came in with a handwritten note from John Mayer, who also expressed his gratitude to the "On The Ground" singer.
"Rosé! I should be thanking YOU! (so thank you)," said John Mayer in the note.

The electric guitar that John Mayer gifted Rosé is actually a custom guitar designed by the singer himself in collaboration with Paul Reed Smith (PRS) Guitars, and is named "Silver Sky."
The guitar comes in two options of fretboards - maplewood or rosewood. And it seems that John Mayer gifted Rosé with the rosewood variant in the limited edition color, Roxy Pink, that costs more than $2,500 USD.
And the gift couldn't be more befitting for Rosé, as not only is her name in the wood used for the fretboard, but the color - Roxy Pink - is similar to the color baby pink, which is Rosé's favorite color! In addition, Rosé usually uses a guitar as her instrument during performances.

John Mayer's custom guitar 'Silver Sky' in Roxy Pink
According to John Mayer, the "Silver Sky" guitar is his vision of what a reboot of the electric guitar should look and feel like, in which he included his favorite vintage specifications and added a modern spirit and aesthetic. In order to get where the "Silver Sky" is now, it took John Mayer two years of studying and refinement - which makes the guitar even more special to fans like Rosé!
The special gift came a couple of weeks after Rosé performed John Mayer's song, "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room," in the first episode of JTBC's "Sea of Hope."

BLACKPINK Rosé Performs "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" + John Mayer Reacts
Back on June 29, the official Youtube channel of JTBC's "Sea of Hope" uploaded Rosé cover of John Mayer's hit single, "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room."
The acoustic performance highlighted Rosé's beautiful voice, captivating fans and the celebrities present during the shoot, including actors Lee Dong Wook and Kim Go Eun, as well as Lee Sang Min, Akdong Musician's Suhyun, and SHINee's Onew.
And of course, the beautiful cover didn't go unnoticed by the original singer himself, John Mayer.
After the broadcast, John Mayer shared a clip of Rosé's performance and complimented her cover, saying, "This is gorgeous," and even added a swipe-up link so fans could easily find her cover.

Rosé also had a fangirl moment when she shared John Mayer's Instagram story on to her own, expressing her disbelief that John Mayer watched her cover and shared it. She accompanied her story with "Whaat...? No way...... Pinch me."
