SHINee Key Reveals His Unique Soju Recipe on MBC's 'I Live Alone'

SHINee Key appeared on the latest episode of MBC's "I Live Alone," where he unveiled his unique yet unusual soju recipe.

On the July 16 broadcast of MBC's "I Live Alone" ("Home Alone"), the SHINee member went on a camping trip with some of his friends he made during his military service.

Before enjoying a meal, SHINee Key revealed his soju recipe, which surprised his friends.

SHINee Key Shows His Friends His Special Soju Recipe on MBC's "I Live Alone"

During his camping trip with his friends, SHINee Key had a good time playing football with them. The male idol also gave them haircuts.

In the voice-over, Key shared that during his time in the military, he rarely rest during weekends. The reason is that he was busy giving haircuts to the other soldiers.

After spending time outside the house, SHINee member Key and his friends all went inside to prepare a meal.

Key cooked perilla samgyetang (chicken soup), and even made pickled leeks, impressing his friends.

For their drinks, Key took out a teapot and a box containing black tea.

While his friends thought it would be a regular tea, SHINee Key surprised his friends when he suddenly took out a bottle of soju.

When asked why he brought soju, SHINee member Key answered, "It's my own special recipe. We will just pour soju here."

After dipping the black tea bags in the pitcher containing water, and then adding some ice, Key added the soju.

SHINee Key's Activities following His Military Discharge

After SHINee Key was discharged from the military, he was chosen to be one of the regular hosts on "Amazing Saturday," along with Girls' Generation Taeyeon.

Moreover, Key participated in SHINee's two comebacks in the first half of 2021.

On Feb. 22, SHINee released their seventh studio album, "Don't Call Me," their first group release in almost three years since their sixth repackaged album, "The Story of Light Epilogue," in September 2018.

SHINee's latest album contains the title track, also called "Don't Call Me." In addition to the title song, the album also consists of eight more tracks of various genres like EDM, pop, hip hop, R&B, and reggae.

SHINee's "Don't Call Me" album was well-received in Korea. It debuted at No. 1 on the Gaon Album Chart for the week ending on Feb. 27. It also landed on the Billboard World Albums Chart, securing the No. 7 spot.

So far, "Don't Call Me" has sold more than 300,000 copies in South Korea. This sales figure earned the boy group a platinum certification from Gaon for reaching 250,000 copies.

On April 12, SHINee made their second comeback with the repackaged version of "Don't Call Me," entitled "Atlantis."

SHINee's "Atlantis" features the title track of the same name, "Don't Call Me," and 10 more songs. To date, the album has recorded more than 140,000 copies on the Gaon Chart.

"Atlantis" entered at No. 2 on Gaon and No. 7 on Billboard Japan Hot Albums.
