EXO D.O. 'Empathy' Dominates iTunes Charts in Different Countries around the World
EXO D.O.'s solo album, "Empathy," is sweeping charts across the globe.
On July 26, D.O. made his long-awaited solo debut with the release of his first album, titled "Empathy."
His debut was a success as the album took over the top position on iTunes charts in different countries. Notably, it has attained the third-most No. 1s on iTunes charts for a 2021 album.
Moreover, EXO D.O.'s "Empathy" has already sold hundreds of thousands of copies in just two days.
EXO D.O. Empathy Achieves the Third Most No. 1s on iTunes Charts for a 2021 Album
EXO D.O.'s solo album is composed of eight songs, one of which is the title track, "Rose."

"Rose," which was written by D.O., is an acoustic folk song featuring an easy melody that any listener can sing along to. It also has a refreshing guitar rhythm and contains lyrics that illustrate a story of someone falling in love and confessing what they feel.
Following its release on July 26 at 6 p.m. KST, EXO D.O.'s "Empathy" debuted on iTunes charts in different countries one by one as hours go by.
So far, "Empathy" has ranked No. 1 on iTunes Album charts in 59 countries, including the United States, United Arab Emirates, Japan, Canada, Russia, Thailand, Taiwan, Australia, Vietnam, and more.

EXO D.O.'s "Empathy" becomes the third 2021 album with the most No. 1 on iTunes, dethroning Taylor Swift's "Fearless TV" with 57 No. 1s.
"Empathy" now follows EXO Baekhyun's "Bambi" with 70 No. 1s and EXO's "Don't Fight the Feeling" with 89 No. 1s on iTunes.
Moreover, D.O.'s solo album also debuted at No. 1 on the Worldwide iTunes Album and European Album charts.
"Empathy" also placed first on the Korean daily album charts such as Hanteo Chart, HOTTRACKS, and Synnara Record.
According to Hanteo, EXO D.O.'s "Empathy" sold more than 190,000 copies on July 26, a total of 197,018 copies, to be precise.
As of 12:40 p.m. KST, 4,421 copies more of the album were recorded on the Hanteo Chart. This means "Empathy" has surpassed 200,000 copies sold in South Korea.
In China, D.O.'s "Empathy" entered at No. 1 on the Digital Album Sales charts of QQ Music, Kuwo Music, and Kugou Music.
EXO D.O.'s solo album has also been certified gold on QQ Music just less than 20 minutes after release and later earned a 2x gold, a 3x gold, and a platinum certification.
Upon the release of D.O's "Empathy," hashtags related to the album and its title track started trending on Twitter.
The hashtags "#디오_1st_solo_ROSE," "#DO_RoseMVOutNow," and "#Empathy_ByDO" took the Nos. 2, 2, and 4 on the worldwide trends.
EXO D.O. Rose Enters Various Music Charts
Aside from the solo album, the title track, "Rose," is also receiving love from fans around the world.
EXO D.O.'s "Rose" topped iTunes Song charts in different countries, including the United States, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Brazil, and Indonesia.
"Rose" also entered domestic music charts. It debuted at No. 1 on Bugs, No. 23 on Genie, and NO. 98 on FLO.

In addition to this, EXO D.O. trended at No. 1 on MelOn's real-time search. "Rose" debuted at No. 2 on MelOn's 5-minute chart, and eventually took the No. 1 spot.
All songs from D.O.'s "Empathy" exceeded 10,000 likes on MelOn shortly after release. "Rose" went on to reach 20,000 likes on the platform.
In Japan, EXO D.O.'s "Rose" landed at No. 59 on Line Music Japan, while the B-side songs "I'm Gonna Love You" and "My Love" secured the Nos. 90 and 94, respectively.
