BTS V Becomes the K-pop Soloist with the Most Songs Having 70 Million Streams on Spotify

BTS V is now the K-pop soloist who holds the record for the most songs with 70 million streams on Spotify.

On July 27, one of BTS V's solo tracks on Spotify reached the 70-million mark.

In particular, this song is Kim Taehyung's "It's Definitely You," an OST for the K-drama "HWARANG," where he starred in. He recorded this with his bandmate Jin.

BTS V Becomes the K-pop Soloist with the Most Songs Hitting 70 Million Streams on Spotify

On BTS V's Spotify account, he has more than two million monthly listeners despite him only having two solo tracks uploaded. His other solo songs are available on BTS's Spotify account.

Apart from "It's Definitely You," Kim Taehyung has other more solo releases with 70 million Spotify streams, such as "Singularity," "Sweet Night," "Stigma," and "Inner Child."

Overall, BTS V has a total of five songs that have reached the mark on the global streaming platform. This is a new record for a K-pop soloist.

Hence, Taehyung now holds the record for the most songs with 70 million streams on Spotify.

A few of BTS V's solo tracks on Spotify are close to reaching 100 million streams, and these are "Inner Child" and "Stigma" which have crossed 95 million streams as of July 30.

So far, all of Kim Taehyung's solo songs on the global streaming platform have accumulated more than 420 million total streams.

BTS V is proving his excellent skills in songwriting as some of the solo tracks mentioned above were written by him. He is credited for penning and/ or composing "Sweet Night," "Stigma," and "Inner Child."

BTS V Consistently Ranks No. 1 as the Most Popular Male Idol in Japan

Meanwhile, the popularity of BTS member V in Japan is unparalleled as he steadily ranks No. 1 on the list of the most popular male idols in the country.

On July 30, the Japanese ranking site "Nehan" released the latest rankings of male idols that are currently famous in Japan as of the moment. The voting was held from July 19 to 25.

Sitting at No. 1 on the list is BTS V with 7,807 votes. He has now spent a total of 17 consecutive weeks atop the tally.

Aside from Nehan, Kim Taehyung is also seeing great results on the Japanese ranking site for Korean actors "B-Han."

On the newest rankings for the most popular Korean actors in Japan, BTS member V took first place with 13,860 votes. This marks his 12th consecutive week at No. 1.

Considering that V only appeared in one episode of the 2016 drama "Hwarang," it is interesting that he is listed as a Korean actor and Japanese fans steadily support him.

On "Ranking.net," a voting site that reflects real-time trends, V grabbed the first spot in various categories, such as "Japan's Most Popular Male idol," "The Most Handsome Korean Idol," "Favorite BTS Member," and "The Most Handsome BTS Member."
