Jeon Somi 'DUMB DUMB' Music Video Accumulates Impressive YouTube Views in Almost 3 Days
The music video for Jeon Somi's "DUMB DUMB" has gained a remarkable number of YouTube views in only two days since its release.
On Aug. 2, Jeon Somi made her long-awaited solo comeback with her new single, entitled "DUMB DUMB," together with the music video for the song.
Somi's "DUMB DUMB" MV has since been garnering millions of views on YouTube.

"DUMB DUMB" was co-written by Somi, alongside Teddy and Danny Chung, and was composed by Teddy, Do Min Suk, 24, and R.TEE.
Jeon Somi's new single expresses a girl's desire to impress the person she loves. The music video for it was released at 6 p.m. KST on Aug. 2.

In just one day, Somi's "DUMB DUMB" MV achieved 10 million views on YouTube, becoming the female idol's most-viewed video in the first 24 hours.
"DUMB DUMB" is now the fifth most-viewed video by a female K-pop soloist in history, having 10.5 million YouTube views.
The number of views then continues to increase in the following days. On Aug. 3, Jeon Somi's "DUMB DUMB" was the most-viewed music video by a K-pop artist, with more than 9.9 million views.
Around 9:15 a.m. KST on Aug. 5, Somi's "DUMB DUMB" music video crossed 20 million YouTube views, proving the female idol's global popularity.

It is very unusual for a female K-pop soloist to reach a high number of views in only a few days. Among the female K-pop soloists, BLACKPINK Jennie and Rosé are some of those who can attain impressive views on YouTube.
As of writing, Jeon Somi's "DUMB DUMB" MV has more than 22.1 million YouTube views and 1.1 million likes. The video is also currently trending at No. 2 in the music category.
In addition to this, the music video remains at No. 1 on the "Music Videos Trending Worldwide" rankings for three non-consecutive days.
The performance video for Jeon Somi's new single is also currently trending at No. 3 on YouTube worldwide.

Jeon Somi "DUMB DUMB" Enters Domestic and iTunes Charts
Shortly after its release on Aug. 2, Jeon Somi's new single debuted on two of the Korean music charts. It entered at No. 3 on Bugs and No. 29 on Genie.
Somi and "DUMB DUMB" were also trending on MelOn's real-time search on Aug. 2. The song surpassed 1,000 likes on MelOn immediately after release.

On Aug. 3, Jeon Somi's new single debuted at No. 95 on FLO and No. 98 on MelOn 24Hits.
On Aug. 5, "DUMB DUMB" re-entered the Top 90 on MelOn 24Hits Chart.
Jeon Somi's new single also landed on iTunes charts around the world. It ranked inside the Top 10 in nine countries. On the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart, "DUMB DUMB" debuted at No. 15.
Apart from domestic and iTunes charts, Somi's "DUMB DUMB" also managed to debut on Spotify's South Korea Daily Chart. The song secured the No. 47 spot on Aug. 3.
