On August 14, CUBE Entertainment announced that Soojin would be leaving (G)I-DLE and that the team would operate as a five-member system. Following the news, international fans of the idol took to the social media account of the person who first accused Soojin, flooding the account with hate comments.

International Neverlands ((G)I-DLE's fanbase) took to social media to leave messages on the victim's social media account. Some of the comments read, "I hope you lose someone you love too," and "I will never leave you alone." Additionally, many blame the initial accuser for Soojin's departure from (G)I-DLE.

The malicious comments left by Soojin's fans have since been shared on several South Korean online community forums.

Korean users on these community forums were shocked by the reaction of international fans. While the Korean public was rejoicing Soojin's departure from the group, international fans cursed the accusers and CUBE Entertainment. Many expressed sympathy for the victim and stressed that Soojin was the perpetrator of school violence, not the initial accuser.
Instagram User Claims Former (G)I-DLE Soojin Bullied Her Sister
The first person who claimed Soojin was a bully exposed the idol on Instagram. She claimed that she and her younger sister attended the same middle school as Soojin. They contended that Soojin would bully their younger sister, forcing her to go to the restroom and make them slap each other.

The user also claimed that Soojin instigated bullying by sending messages to a group chat. Additionally, the user claimed that Soojin would steal other people's uniforms and money. Soojin was also accused of hanging around older men who rode motorcycles, smoke, and drink underage.
