Mnet 'Girls Planet 999' Episode 3 Teaser: Two Teams who Will Perform TWICE 'YES or YES' for 'Connect Mission' Unveiled

In the newly released teaser video for Mnet's "Girls Planet 999" Episode 3, the two teams who will compete through performing TWICE's "YES or YES" for "Connect Mission" have been unveiled.

On Aug. 19, Mnet shared a new teaser for the third episode of their new girl group survival show "Girls Planet 999." The three-minute clip shows the two teams each composed of three cells, which chose to cover TWICE's "YES or YES" for the first mission of the competition.

TWICE's "YES or YES" is one of the four mission songs, along with BLACKPINK's "How You Like That," IZ*ONE's "Fiesta," and Oh My Girl's "The Fifth Season."

Mnet "Girls Planet 999" Episode 3 Teaser: Two Teams Who Will Cover "YES or YES" for Connect Mission Revealed

The newly released teaser video for Mnet's "Girls Planet 999" starts with MC Yeo Jin Goo introducing calling the two teams who will cover TWICE's "YES or YES." Each team consists of three cells and nine members.

Team 1 comprises Kim Hyerim, Huh Jiwon, and Kim Chaeyun from the K-Group; Ma Yuling, Chiayi, and Li Yiman from the C-Group; and Okuma Sumomo, Yamauchi Moana, and Kuwahara Ayana from the J-Group.

Kim Doah from K-Group

Team 2 is composed of Kim Doah, Lee Chaeyun, and Kim Sein from the K-group; Xu Ziyin, Lee Cheukying, and Wen Zhe from the C-Group; and Arai Risako, Kishida Ririka, Okazaki Momoko from the J-Group.

When asked to say a few words before performing TWICE's "YES or YES," Yamauchi Moana from Team 1 stated, "I believe that if we will perform what have practiced, we will surely show a good stage, so we will work hard."

Kishida Ririka from J-Group

Meanwhile, Kishida Ririka from Team 2 shared that their group has been practicing hard, so they will give their best to beat the first team with their bright energy.

After that, the teaser video for Mnet's "Girls Planet 999" Episode 3 went on to show the beginning of the performances of the two teams.

Leung Cheukying from C-Group

K-pop Master Sunmi admired the powerful vocals of Kim Hyerim (Team 1), who sang the chorus parts of TWICE Tzuyu and Jihyo. Meanwhile, K-pop Master Tiffany is seen smiling at Kim Doah (Team 2) who did TWICE Mina's part in the intro.

Benefits of Winning Teams in "Connect Mission" on Mnet's "Girls Planet 999"

The winning teams, who performed the "Connect Mission" songs by girl groups, will receive the benefit of doubling the number of votes 24 hours before the global voting closes.

Aside from the four girl group songs mentioned above, some of the "Girls Planet 999" contestants will also perform boy group songs such as EXO's "The Eve," BTS's "MIC DROP," and SEVENTEEN's "Pretty U."

The voting count of the winning teams in the boy group category will be tripled 24 hours before closing.

On top of this, one of the winning teams for the "Connect Mission" will also be given the chance to perform on Mnet's "M Countdown."
