BTS Accused of Promoting Homosexuality + Jungkook's Birthday Ad Gets Taken Off in Pakistan – For These Reasons
K-pop fans and ARMYs criticized an official in Pakistan after removing BTS Jungkook's birthday ad. On top of this, his remarks infuriated supporters for criticizing the global group and the fandom.
In particular, Jungkook, the "golden maknae" of BTS, celebrated his 24th birthday on September 1. All over the world, the singer received warm greetings from both celebrities and fans.
Unfortunately, Pakistan-based fans who celebrated Jungkook's special day didn't have it smoothly after an official ordered the birthday billboard they prepared to be removed.

BTS Jungkook Birthday Ad Taken Down, Pakistani ARMYs Disappointed
In Pakistan, ARMYs organized a birthday project for BTS main vocalist Jungkook. To greet the idol, they prepared a huge billboard that was installed in Gujranwala Street in Punjab.
The billboard contained the words, "Happy 24th Birthday, Jungkook," and also featured the visual idol's photo.
The original advertiser of the billboard Younus Mughal told Images that the ad was supposed to stay in the GT Road near Sheranwala Bagh for two days.
But after installing it, Jungkook's birthday ad was peeled off the same day, later that night. Pakistani ARMYs were confused as to why it was taken down earlier than expected, despite getting permission from Gujranwala's Chamber of Commerce by undergoing the legal process.

According to the billboard owner, a Punjab assembly candidate and a member of the Jamaat-e-Islami named Furqan Aziz Butt ordered to remove the advertisement after the ad caught attention on social media channels.
Explaining, he claimed BTS is "a bad influence" on the city's youth – emphasizing that Jungkook and BTS also encourage youth to misbehave, such as promoting homosexuality.
Furqan's explanation about BTS promoting homosexuality is not backed by any pieces of evidence, such as a message from the septet; thus, internet users speculated that the official has prejudice that BTS encourages homosexuality due to their appearance.
He also stressed that BTS fans call themselves "ARMY" and that there are only Pakistani troops in the country.
Lastly, Furqan conveyed that they took it down after receiving public complaints, adding that the billboard's size is 15 by 20 vertical boards.
Pakistani BTS fans expressed anger on social media, saying, "The older generation has a prejudice that they are homosexual because of their appearance and attire," and, "What's wrong with it if it's just an ad?"
