f(x) Celebrates 12th Debut Anniversary

f(x) released their debut single "LA chA TA" on September 1, 2009, and made their official broadcast debut on September 5 as a five-member group.

Since their debut, f(x) has released numerous hit songs such as "Nu ABO," "Pinocchio (Danger)," "Hot Summer," "Electric Shock," "Rum Pum Pum Pum," "Red Light," "4 Walls," and more.

Beginning in 2016, the members halted group promotions and began focusing on their individual careers.

Despite f(x)'s indefinite hiatus, the members celebrated the group's 12th debut anniversary with warm posts on their personal social media accounts on September 5.

Krystal, who is the lead vocalist and youngest member of the group, celebrated f(x)'s anniversary by posting old pictures from their 2011 studio album, "Pinocchio," with a simple "happy twelve years" and a heart emoji.

On leader and main dancer's, Victoria, Instagram account, she shared a picture of f(x)'s album cover for "Red Light", and wrote "Happy 12th anniversary" in Chinese, Korean, and English.

Amber also shared an old picture of the f(x) members in what appears to be backstage for a performance, and accompanied the picture with sweet message in both Korean and English.

"Happy 12th to f(x)!!! Thank you MeU for your never-ending support and for all the wonderful memories. Still don't know what's going on in this photo but we still look good af haha Vic, Luna, Sulli, Krystal miss you guys," said Amber.

While in Korean, she addresses the four other f(x) members with loving nicknames.

Lastly, f(x)'s main vocalist and lead dancer, Luna, posted a picture of an old magazine photo shoot for High Cut magazine, and wrote a short message.

"Thank you to the members and to MeU who have been with me for 12 years. May we always be healthy and happy!!," said Luna.

In English, Luna added, "Thank you for 12 years of support and love. Missing you dearly..."

Meanwhile, all of the f(x) members have left SM Entertainment after deciding not to renew contracts in order to pursue their individual activities.

Regarding the group's current status, Luna clarifies that the group is not disbanded.
