KCCPH 'Kolorful Adventures' Continue This September With 'We Stand Together'

The tenth-year anniversary celebration of the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCCPH) continues with its September lineup, led by the "We Stand Together" online concert.

Celebrating togetherness, artistry, and beauty, the September events will be focusing on the relationship between the two nations and the presence of KCCPH. Aside from the online concert, the Philippines-Korea Cultural Exchange Festival will be making a return this 2021 in an online format.

The upcoming online concert "We Stand Together" is organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCCPH), together with the United Korean Community Association (UKCA) and the National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA).

Fans of both Filipino and Korean arts would find feature performances from artists hailing from both nations and can be streamed for free through the KCCPH Facebook and YouTube pages, as well as through the UKCA and NCCA Facebook pages. The event will take place this September 25, 2021, Saturday, starting at 3 PM PHT.

Aside from commemorating the years of meaningful relationship between the Philippines and South Korea, the 2021 PhilKor Festival also seeks to highlight impressive Filipino and Korean talent. The festival will have an Online Talent Competition that is divided into Voice and Dance categories.

Filipino participants, group or solo, may enter the voice competition by singing a Korean song while Korean participants may join by performing a Filipino song. For the dance category, any participants - group or solo - may perform any Korean traditional, cultural, or pop songs.

KCCPH will be accepting entries until September 11, followed by a voting period starting from September 13 to 17. The Grand Winner in the Online Talent Competition segment will earn P50,000 in cash while the category winners for dance and voice get to take home P30,000 each.

Another event in the KCCPH September lineup is its celebration of the Chuseok, or Korean Thanksgiving Day, which falls on September 21, 2021. One of the biggest holidays in Korea, the Chuseok gives families time to be together and observe various traditions and celebrate the year.
