BLACKPINK Lisa to Reveal Bangless Hairstyle for the First Time in LALISA Music Video
On September 10 KST, BLACKPINK's Lisa held an online press conference to commemorate the release of her first solo album, "LALISA," which will be released on the same day at 1pm KST. During the press conference, Lisa revealed that she will be showing a new side to her for her solo debut - most notably having a bangless hairstyle!
Since BLACKPINK's debut in 2016, Lisa had always sported her signature full bangs and the occasional side bangs, which gave fans a peak at her forehead. But for Lisa's solo debut, the Thai K-Pop idol wanted to take a risk.
"I wanted to show a new side to me, so I took a big risk and went for a hairstyle that didn't include bangs. I think fans haven't seen my forehead without having the bangs before, so it will be a surprise," said Lisa.

Lisa also revealed that she took part in every aspect of her album in order to emphasize her own personal color, saying, "I worked really hard for everything, from the album to the styling. I was able to take part in the album jacket photos and even the point choreography, which is in the chorus of the song."
She added, "It is my first solo album with my name 'LALISA.' It has a deep meaning. I am very grateful to BLINK (BLACKPINK's fandom) who have waited for a long time for my solo. I worked hard on it, so I hope everyone likes it." Hoping for a positive reception, Lisa also hopes that the album will make people think "Wow, this is something only Lisa can do."

Meanwhile, "LALISA" is an album that combines a strong hip-hop-based sound with Lisa's charismatic rap. On her two tracks, "LALISA" and "MONEY," producers Teddy, 24, Vince, R.Tee, and Bekuh BOOM worked together.
Regarding her title song "LALISA," it is described as a song that harmonizes brass riff that is reminiscent of a siren and a dynamic rhythm, and exudes an explosive synergy when combined with Lisa's powerful rapping.
"I wanted to show my best side. I wanted to show Lalisa herself. The title song is a song that can show the power and confidence of my name," said Lisa.
The most notable thing about "LALISA" is that Lisa added a Thai-feel to the song. According to Lisa, she asked YG Entertainment producer, Teddy, to add Thai elements in it to make it more personal.
"I told Teddy that I wanted it in a Thai style, and he took my request into consideration. I really liked it. Also, in the music video, I wore Thai clothes and the performance included a traditional Thai dance," said Lisa, making expectations rise even more.
