Post Claims Former (G)I-DLE Member Soojin Never Committed School Violence

A post has been circulating online claiming that former (G)I-DLE member Soojin was never the perpetrator of school violence. Keep on reading for all the details.

Post States Former (G)I-DLE Soojin Never Committed School Violence

On September 1, a post made by A, who claims to be a middle school classmate of (G)I-DLE member Soojin, was shared on numerous online community forums.

In the post, they state that they went to middle school with Soojin and that their parents were close, so the two still keep in touch.

In their post, which was first shared on Instagram, they state that the lies about Soojin are so ridiculous that even the people who went to middle school with Soojin knew that it was slander.

They state that Soojin was not in the band club, but in the vocal training team, with A. They state they never gathered outside of school and always remained inside.

A also called out the floorball team for lying and said that their practices were actually gangster meetings. A states that the floorball club was only filled with students who liked sports enough to compete for first and second place in the country and that they had no idea why lies concerning the sports team were being spread.

While A states that they are not 100% sure about Soojin's school like, they are confident that the Soojin they know is not a person who beats, bothers, or bullies anyone. Though they are not entirely sure what happened between Soojin and the person who first accused her of bullying, they believe that Soojin would never have done anything that bad.

"Soojin is very shy, and it is unfortunate that rumors like this are going around," says A in their post. "I am not asking you to believe everything I say. You may not be able to find evidence nor believe that Seo Soojin is my friend, but please refrain from making comments that hurt others unless there is evidence that Seo Soojin committed school violence."

A's claims are attracting attention online, as all its claims differ from what was initially being spread about Soojin so far.

Back in February 2021, Soojin was embroiled in school violence allegations after a former middle school alumni accused her of assaulting and ostracizing classmates while in school.

Following the allegations, South Korean actress Seo Shin Ae, who graduated from the same school as Soojin, also claimed the idol bullied them.

Soojin soon went on a hiatus from (G)I-DLE activities. After six months, Cube Entertainment released a statement in August 2021, stating that Soojin had left the group and that (G)I-DLE would promote as five members. They apologized to everyone for causing concern over the controversy surrounding Soojin.
