On September 14, BLACKPINK member Rosé set the internet on fire as one of the first female K-pop idols to ever attend the Met Gala 2021.
The "On the Ground" songstress made her entrance with Yves Saint Laurent's creative director, Anthony Vaccarello. The two entered with arms linked and were often seen laughing and whispering to each other.
Ever since Rosé was announced as the global brand ambassador of Yves Saint Laurent in the summer of 2020, the two have been known to be close. The BLACKPINK member stated that the two met in 2019 during Paris Fashion Week and have since formed a strong bond; they even call and text regularly!
During Rosé's last trip to Los Angeles in June 2021, the idol even visited Anthony Vaccarello's home and gifted his child gifts.

On her Instagram Stories, Rosé shared two selfies she took with supermodel Gigi Hadid. In her post, Rosé called Gigi Hadid, the "biggest sweetheart."
The two appeared to be close, with Gigi Hadid even resting her cheek on top of Rosé's head!
Gigi Hadid is known to be a K-pop fan. Back on January 29, 2021, the idol was spotted wearing a BLACKPINK shirt on her Instagram Story. Though the shirt was not the main focus of the post, fans were quick to spot the BLACKPINK logo and Rosé's face on the shirt.

In the past, Gigi Hadid was also seen liking posts with the BLACKPINK members. Specifically, she liked Ariana Grande's photo with the girl group and Moises Arias's photo of Jennie.
Rosé also shared a mirror selfie she took with Talia Ryder to her Instagram Story. Both stars wore Yves Saint Laurent for the Met Gala 2021. This is the first time Rosé has publicly interacted with the teen actress, but it appears the two already have quite a solid bond!

In July 2021, the two were spotted having dinner together in Los Angeles with Devon Carlson and Petra Collins.
Rosé was also seen sitting next to Olivia Rodrigo during the Met Gala after-party, which Rihanna hosted. The two were also seen dancing together.

BLACKPINK Rosé Stuns at the Met Gala 2021
On September 14, BLACKPINK Rosé attended the Met Gala 2021 with Anthony Vaccarello, the creative director of Yves Saint Laurent. This marks the first time a female K-pop idol attended the prestigious fashion event. The idol was seen in head-to-toe YSL for both the main event and the after-party.
Speculations that she would attend the Met Gala started on September 11, when Rosé was spotted at Incheon Airport. The following day, Rosé was spotted at a fitting for Yves Saint Laurent in New York City.
