They are considered as the "Nation's Girl Group" and they are regarded as one of the significant players in the Hallyu Wave.

2NE1

Before BLACKPINK, the original badass females of the K-Pop industry was 2NE1. They debuted in 2009, and they have revolutionized the K-pop industry since then.

2NE1 was among the first and the most prominent girl groups who made the K-Pop industry known worldwide.

Red Velvet

It is the girl group with the most number one albums on the chart that achieved a lot of awards for music, choreography, and popularity. One of their notable awards is the Golden Disc New Artist Award and the Mnet Asian Music Awards for Best Female Group in 2017.

The five-member girl group was formed by SM Entertainment and they debuted in 2014.
They are known for their unique concept of "Red" which symbolizes their brighter and a more vivid side. Then "velvet" symbolizes their softer and more elegant concept.

TWICE

The nine-member girl group was formed through the reality show "Sixteen" which debuted in 2015.

TWICE is also the K-Pop girl group that has earned Platinum Certification by the Recording Industry Association of Japan. It is for both album and CD Single in the same year.

BLACKPINK

The four-member girl group is the highest-charting female K-Pop group formed by YG Entertainment.

The four member girl group debuted in 2016 with their single "Boombayah." Their debut single became the first number-one hit on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart. Also, their debut song is the most viewed music video by a Korean group.

BLACKPINK members are also making their solo debuts successfully, the latest is Lisa's recent solo debut.

(G)I-DLE

The girl group debuted in 2018 under the management of Cube Entertainment. They are known as the "Monster Rookie of 2018."

ITZY

Under the management of JYP Entertainment, ITZY started as JYP's next girl group after TWICE's debut in 2015.

They went for more edgy music than their labelmate unnies (TWICE) which has given them a fresh sound.
