ASTRO Cha Eunwoo Reportedly Purchased a High-End Penthouse - Here's the Price and Features
Cha Eunwoo was reported to have bought a highly-priced penthouse, which was previously owned by a chairman from Samsung C&T.
On Sept. 24, Biz Korea released an exclusive report stating that they have confirmed that ASTRO Eunwoo purchased a penthouse located in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul with cash. They added that the previous owner of the space is Choi, Chi-hoon, the chairman of the Samsung C&T Board of Directors.

According to Biz Korea, the space that Cha Eunwoo bought is the "Bill Polaris" penthouse on July 7 of last year. This space is under an apartment, which is famous as a luxury house that is composed of one household per floor and has good privacy.

It is known that prominent celebrities and business figures are currently residing in the apartment. Some of them are actresses Park Min Young and Shim Hye Jin, and the daughter of former Kyobo Books President Shin Mun Jae.
Samsung C&T Chairman Choi Chi Hoon
The report also stated that Samsung C&T Chairman Choi, the previous owner of ASTRO Eunwoo's penthouse, bought the space for 3.8 billion won (almost 3.23 million USD) in February 2012. He then sold it to the idol-actor in July 2020 for 4.9 billion won (approximately 4.16 million USD). This means that Chairman Choi gained a profit of 1.1 billion won.
It is said that Cha Eunwoo received the registration of transfer of ownership from the court on Sept. 7 of last year, two months after the sale contract was signed.

ASTRO Eunwoo's penthouse has an exclusive area of 166.01 square meters, a supply area of 203.81 square meters, and a land ownership area of 78.27 square meters. Situated at the southern end of Yeongdongdaegyo Bridge, it has a view of the Han River and has four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Biz Korea went on to say that the real estate industry specializing in luxury houses said that all the spaces of Bill Polaris, completed in October 2009, are decorated with all-white-toned marble materials, and those living in it can enjoy the view of the city and the Han River from the living room and bedroom.
In addition, Bill Polaris is known as a "small park" among residents because the exterior and interior landscape are well-maintained.
ASTRO's Latest Comeback with New Mini-Album "SWITCH ON"
In other news, Cha Eunwoo recently participated in ASTRO's comeback in early August. The boy group released their eighth mini-album "SWITCH ON" alongside the music video for the title song "After Midnight."

ASTRO's "SWITCH ON" has six tracks that were co-written and/or co-composed by the members. In particular, Cha Eunwoo wrote the lyrics for "After Midnight" and Rocky and JinJin penned the rap verses.
"SWITCH ON" becomes the boy group's second album to sell more than 200,000 copies on Hanteo in the first week, following their second full album "All Yours." It recorded a total of 275,145 copies, almost breaking their first-week sales record of 281,952 copies set by "All Yours."
On music charts, ASTRO's "SWITCH ON" ranked first on iTunes Album charts in five countries and topped the iTunes K-pop Album charts in 20 countries.
