BTS and Coldplay My Universe Debuts at No. 1 on Rolling Stone's Top 100 Songs Chart

On October 4 local time, Rolling Stone announced this week's Top 100 Songs chart, a chart that tracks the most popular songs in the United States for the week, and are ranked based on song units - the cumulative audio streams and song sales.

According to Rolling Stone, BTS and Coldplay's collaboration track, "My Universe," which was released back on September 24, made its debut on the Top 100 Songs chart at No. 1, taking over Drake's "Way 2 Sexy" which falls to No. 2.

BTS and Coldplay's 'My Universe' takes over Rolling Stone's Top 100 Songs chart

Not only did "My Universe" enter the chart at No. 1, but this also marks both BTS and Coldplay's first No. 1 on the Rolling Stone chart, in addition to BTS making history as the first Korean act to do so as well.

"My Universe," which is a pop-funk track and co-produced and co-written by Max Martin, had accumulated over 8.5 million streams and more than 136,000 downloads.

'My Universe' Makes Debut on United Kingdom's Official Charts

Aside from "My Universe" taking over Rolling Stone, the hit collaboration track also entered the Official Charts in the United Kingdom!

Back on October 1 local time, "My Universe" debuted on several of the Official Charts - the United Kingdom equivalent to Billboard's charts in the United States.

According to Official Charts, "My Universe" entered at No. 3 on the Official Singles Chart, dated on the week of October 1 to 7. This also marks the highest new entry for the week.

In addition, "My Universe" became the best-selling single of the week for both physical CDs and digital downloads, with the song accumulating more than 27,000 in pure sales. For digital downloads, "My Universe" racked up over 21,400, achieving the biggest downloads in a week for any song this year in the United Kingdom.

Aside from the Official Singles Chart, "My Universe" also took over at No. 1 on the Official Singles Sales Chart, the Official Physical Singles Chart, and the Official Singles Downloads Chart for this week. The song also entered at No. 23 on the Official Audio Streaming Chart.

Meanwhile, "My Universe" also debuted at No. 1 on Japan's Oricon's weekly digital singles chart, and at No. 3 on Spotify's Global Top 200 at the time of its release.
