'BIG 4' Agencies to Debut 10-15 Groups in the Next 2 Years? Investment Company Predicts Growth in Entertainment Industry
Are you ready to see more K-pop groups from the four major K-pop agencies? According to a researcher, 2021 is expected to be the peak of the "Big 4" in terms of operating profits. In addition to this, the researcher predicted the debut of about 10-15 groups for the next two years.
The biggest performance in the history of the four major agencies in the entertainment industry is expected to happen this year!
According to a researcher from the strongest security investment group in Korea, "Big 4" agencies, comprised of HYBE, SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and JYP Entertainment, will achieve new records among other agencies.
In addition to this, it is also expected that more groups will be introduced between 2022 and 2023.
Researcher Predicts that 'Big4' Companies Will Break All-Time High Performance + aespa and ENHYPEN Contribution
On October 12, Hana Financial Investment advised investors to expand its share of the entertainment industry every time the price adjusts.
According to the investment group, "Although events have been restricted due to COVID-19, it is judged that if offline tours resume, they will show unexperienced growth. All agencies are likely to break record-high performance every year."
It is predicted that JYP and YG will exceed its market consensus, SM will match, and HYBE will fall below its consensus of 63. billion won.
Nevertheless, Researcher Lee Ki Hoon said, “The combined operating profit of the four major agencies is about 120 billion won. You will feel how fast it is progressing.”
On the other hand, the investment company's report also highlighted the contribution of aespa and ENHYPEN, who sold 400,000 and 600,000 album copies, respectively – just a year after its debut. With this, the researcher noted the steep rise in the K-pop industry with these rookie groups alone.

10-15 New K-pop Groups Set to Debut in the Next 2 Years, According to Researcher Lee
With the incredible achievements of the K-pop groups debuting in the fourth generation era, researcher Lee also expressed that, "A total of eight teams from the four major agencies plan to debut next year alone."
Based on the previous reports, YG, HYBE, and JYP Entertainment are planning to debut their new girl groups. HYBE recently reported to launch its first girl group comprised of former IZ*ONE Sakura and Chaewon.
On Sept. 26, MNET, in collaboration with HYBE, also confirmed I-Land Season 2, the show that produced ENHYPEN in search of its girl group new members.
As for YG, the most awaited Baby Monster is expected to debut as well.
On the other hand, JYP Entertainment also introduced JYPn members (tentative group name) prior to its debut in February 2022.
SM Entertainment is also gaining attention if it will debut a new boy group since it has been about five years since new male artists were introduced apart from NCT members.
Researcher Lee analyzed, "All agencies are already waiting for organic and non-organic momentum based on fan community platforms, with all agencies expected to achieve record-high operating profit in 2021, debuting in a total of 10 to 15 teams over the next two years."
