Thousand of K-pop enthusiasts took part in a Reddit K-pop survey about their favorite K-pop groups. The census was split into various categories, including sexualities, gender, and geographies. Here are the top ten most popular K-pop groups among female K-pop fans in 2021.

10. MAMAMOO

Ranking in tenth place is MAMAMOO, who received 507 votes among female K-pop fans. MAMAMOO ranked slightly lower in the women's census than in the men's census. MAMAMOO ranked ninth place in the latter category.

9. BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK ranked in ninth place, amassing 521 votes from female K-pop fans. BLACKPINK is more popular among men than with women. In the men's census, BLACKPINK ranked in sixth place.

8. ITZY

Eighth place went to ITZY, who took home 550 votes from female K-pop fans. But, like BLACKPINK, ITZY is more popular among men than with women. In the men's census, ITZY ranked in fifth place.

7. Stray Kids

The first boy group to be mentioned is Stray Kids, who ranked seventh and received 553 votes from female K-pop fans. Those who voted for 3RACHA were included in this count. Stay Kids is more popular among females than with men. In the men's census, Stray Kids ranked in 16th place.

6. EXO

Ranking in sixth place is EXO, who received 586 votes from female K-pop fans. Those who included EXO-CBX and EXO-SC were included in this count. Similar to Stray Kids, EXO is way more popular among females than with males. In the men's census, EXO ranked in 20th place.

5. SHINee

SHINee ranked fourth, taking home 705 votes from female K-pop fans. SHINee is more well-loved among female K-pop fans than with male K-pop fans. In the men's category, SHINee ranked in 23rd place.

4. NCT

Fourth place went to NCT, who received 765 votes from female K-pop fans. Those who voted for NCT's sub-units, NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV were included in this count. NCT is more popular among female K-pop fans than with male K-pop fans. In the male census, NCT ranked in 22nd place.

3. BTS

Arguably the biggest boy group globally, BTS ranked in third place, receiving a total of 855 votes from female K-pop fans. BTS ranked higher among women than with men. In the men's census, BTS ranked in 11th place.

2. TWICE

TWICE took home 865 votes from female K-pop fans on Reddit, ranking in 2nd place. TWICE is slightly more popular among men than with women. In the men's census, TWICE ranked in the first place.

1. Red Velvet

Ranking in the first place and earning the title of "most popular girl group among female K-pop fans" is Red Velvet! Red Velvet received a total of 933 votes from female K-pop fans. Those who voted for the group's IRENE & SEULGI sub-unit were also included in this count. In the men's census, Red Velvet ranked second place.
