This marks aespa's first performance in the United States, which has naturally caused it to receive much attention from fans and non-fans. However, internet users were left disappointed with aespa's performance following the performance. Even supporters of the group were left disappointed due to the quality of the performance.
Many were upset that SM Entertainment did not prepare new outfits for aespa instead of letting them wear old stage outfits despite being an important event for the girls. Others were another that the cameraman only focused on recording Winter and not the other three members. Some even claimed the performance felt like "Winter and friends."

The most controversial detail was that aespa lip-synced entirely during the show. Some people pointed out that some members of aespa did not even open their mouths to pretend to sing and instead just focused on their dancing.

Other people criticized aespa for their bland performance skills and unappealing expressions. Some people specifically criticized Giselle, who claimed that she looked lost and lazy while performing.
SM Entertainment was also under fire for making aespa perform "Savage," with people saying it is not suitable for Thanksgiving. People claim that the company should have chosen a different aespa song to perform at the event.
