IVE Receives Mixed Opinions for Their Visuals at Debut Showcase
At 6 PM KST on December 1, rookie girl group IVE made their official debut with the single "ELEVEN." Right from the start, the girl group has already received immense attention due to their line-up. IVE includes two former IZ*ONE members, Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin.
IVE's debut has been highly anticipated in the K-pop community. Once Starship Entertainment dropped the teasers of each member, IVE earned the reputation of an all-visual group. Some even wondered how they could choose the most beautiful member, as all the girls in the group are stunning.

However, many were surprised by their real-life visuals at their debut showcase. Once photos from reporters, which are untouched and unedited, were shared online, many wondered if they could still hold the title of an "all-visual" girl group.
Jang Wonyoung earned praise for her visuals. The idol stood out with her beautiful visuals. Even in zoomed-in photos, Jang Wonyoung's pretty features still shone brightly.
Liz also received praise for her visuals, with people complimenting her beautiful, cute Barbie girl aura. In addition, her body proportions were praised as being similar to a doll.
Leeseo earned mixed opinions for her visuals. The younger member of the group earned praise for her pure and natural beauty in her teaser photos. However, in the reporter's photos, people claim she did not stand out in her group and that her visuals did not shine as well as people had hoped.
Rei, IVE's Japanese member, first caught people's eyes with her eye-catching aura in her teasers. However, during the group's debut showcase, Rei's visuals did not shine as well as people thought they would, though many agreed that she has a cute aura.
Ahn Yujin received praise for her visuals, with people saying her charisma and impeccable beauty were only further highlighted through the reporters and their photos.
Gaeul was complimented for her beauty, with people complimented she has a similar visual too (G)I-DLE member Miyeon. People note that her visuals at the event are almost the same as her teaser images. Her small face and long, white legs earned praise from internet users.
While the members received praise individually, the same could not be said when put in a group. Many have stated that except for Jang Wonyoung, Ahn Yujin and Liz, the other group members have similar features. They also lack charisma on stage, so it is hard to figure out who is who.
