BLACKPINK Lisa Named as One of the Top 20 Most Admired Women in the World
On December 14, YouGov released their annual "World's Most Admired" list for 2021. Among politicians and famous actresses, BLACKPINK member Lisa appeared in the top 20.
BLACKPINK member Lisa ranked number 17 on YouGov's "World's Most Admired" list in the women's category. Lisa is among the ranks of Michelle Obama, Angelina Jolie, Queen Elizabeth II, Oprah Winfrey and Scarlett Johannson. This is the first time Lisa was included in the list. She is the only K-pop idol to make the top 20.

Lisa is one of four new additions to the 2021 list. The other three are Liu Yifei, Yang Mi and Jacinda Ardern.
The list is determined by gathering open-ended nominations from panelists across 38 countries and territories in the Spring of this year. With that, YouGov then compiled a list of 20 men and 20 women who received the most nominated and were nominated in at least four countries.

During summer and autumn, YouGov conducted fieldwork. With the list of nominees, YouGov would ask respondents "Who do you truly admire?" where respondents can pick several nominees, and "Who do you most admire?" where respondents can only pick one. The two numbers were combined into a percentage share of admiration.

Lisa scored a 1.7% percentage share of admiration.
Their way of determining who is most admires takes into consideration the breadth of global reach and the intensity of the person's support. YouGov polled in countries that constitute more than seven-tenths of the world's population. All the surveys were conducted online.

BLACKPINK Lisa Recent Activities
On November 4, 2021, it was announced that Lisa had tested positive for COVID-19. The next day, YG Entertainment released an update on the situation, saying she was in good condition and now showing any suspicious symptoms. On December 4, Lisa tested negative and was announced fully recovered from COVID-19.
On November 13, 2021, it was announced that Lisa would be releasing her own makeup collection with the American cosmetics brand MAC Cosmetics. Her collection, titled "MAC x L," includes powder blushes, an eyeshadow palette, eyeliner and face powder.
