'Once Upon A Time' Season 3 Spoilers: Producers Weigh In On Peter Pan, Emma and Hook, and The Two-Part Season

As ABC's "Once Upon A Time" starts to gear up for season 3, spoilers on the elusive Peter Pan has surfaced that will take full advantage of the season being split into two parts, one in the Fall, and one in the Spring.

According to Carter Matt, Edward Kitsis have the rest of the team "have begun the [casting] process, but have begun it secretly."

"We're sneaky this way."

Reportedly, Peter Pan may in fact be against magic in our world despite his origin, and producer Adam Horowitz promises to explain how Greg and Tamara have been working with Pan to capture Henry.

"We're going to explain pretty quickly what it is and how, as we showed in the finale, Greg and Tamara were unwittingly working for Peter Pan, and how that connects," said Horowitz.

"It was curious that they were so against magic, right?"

There is also a significant backstory between Pan and Rumpelstiltskin that explains Rumpelstiltskin's fear of him, which will reportedly be illuminated over the course of the first 11 episodes of the season.

With the season being divided into two chapters, producers want to keep the story flowing and maintain ratings.

Another storyline that fans will see play out is Emma's relationship with Hook, especially now that she thinks Neal is dead.

"It's fun for us to have Emma on that ship with someone as handsome as Hook thinking the person she truly loves is dead, while he's trying to get back to her," said Kitsis.

"She saved everyone else's happy endings, but what about her own?"
