MBLAQ Lee Joon, 'I Paid Half-and-Half on Dates'

MBLAQ's Lee Joon revealed his philosophy with regards to the perennial question, who should pay for what on dates?

Appearing on the talk show 'Happy Together' on June 13, Lee Joon shared personal stories of his past romantic relationships and touched upon his thoughts on the intricate economics between a man and a woman on dates.

Being notorious for being stingy, Lee Joon was asked, "Do you hold back when you go on dates, too?" To clarify misconceptions about him, Lee Joon answered, "No, that is not true. I spend when I need to, like on dates."

"But," he added, "When my ex-girlfriend and I both used to be penniless students, we split all the costs down the middle, half and half. Between our meal and movie tickets, I just paid for the more expensive one."

When the co-host chimed in, asking, "But there are situations when girls try their best not to pay, no?" Without missing a beat, Lee Joon responded, "If both the guy and the girl are poor because they are students, there is no reason for the guy to pay for everything. That is reverse sexism."

The episode of 'Happy Together' aired on June 13.
