f(x)'s Luna builds resume with acting debut

It’s 2012 and f(x)’s Luna is taking her talent to the television screen! Luna showcased her acting skills as she debuted in the January 21 episode of “Saving Ajumma Go Bong Sil”.
TV Chosun’s new weekend drama which debuted January 7 is the 18 year-old Luna’s first acting gig. The show’s plotline is about 50 year-old Go Bong Sil, who moves to Seoul with her family after the death of her husband and becomes a bestselling author.

Luna plays Seo In Young, Go Bong Sil’s youngest daughter, who is a naïve college student. Although a rookie, Luna was praised by Yoon Sang Ho, one of the show’s producers.

“Luna is proving to be a better actress than we expected and we are pleasantly surprised.” Sang Ho said. “She is showing an intense passion for acting and we have high expectations for her in the future.”

She has also earned respect by her peers and viewers as she displayed her ability to cry on demand. In her debut episode, there is a dramatic scene where In Young throws herself into her mother’s arms and explodes into tears. Costar, Kim Hae Suk, had helped Luna before rehearsals even began, offering all the advice she could.

Luna isn’t the only music star on set; SS501’s Kim Kyu Jong is also in the drama series. But Luna may be the only one who received support from her band mates. Kim Kyu Jong recently said that is band mates didn’t offer much advice.

“I heard that Luna got a lot of great advice from f(x) members, but my fellow members did not offer me any guidance.” He said.

Look out for Luna and Kim Kyu Jon in future episodes on Saturday nights!
