KBS Bans Block B from Radio

With the release of their new album just around the corner, hip hop idol group Block B has just been slapped with a ban on two of their newest songs. The New mini-album titled "Welcome to the Block" has five songs and is considered by the band to be a comeback album.  KBS has stated that the the tracks “Did You or Did You Not” and “LOL” are unfit for broadcast, giving only “vulgar expressions” as their reason.

The broadcast station stated that “Did You or Did You Not” brings to mind the question people ask when referring to sex: “Did you do it, or not?”

Fans have also spoken out against the alagations stating,  “It is not right for a song to be judged vulgar only due to the title.”

For "LOL", KBS explained that the song contains the word “ggondae” in the lyrics (which is usually used as a slang referring to elders with a negative connotation).

However fans again refuted these alagations against Block B stating, “‘ggondae’ is a word that was definitely heard on the KBS drama ‘God of Study’, and was also used in SBS’s ‘Protect the Boss’.” Fans argued that it is unfair for the station to impose standards on the music industry they are not willing to place on public dramas.
