Oh My G.O.D. They're Coming Back

The year of the reunion. This year’s hottest frenzy, is still going as rumors are swirling of a possible reunion of G.O.D.

Rumors began to snowball when an affiliate to the group spoke of the issue. “Starting around the end of last year, all of the members’ agencies began to talk about the group’s new album and potential concerts.” said the affiliate.

The group affiliate went on to say, “The process is complicated, since all the members belong to separate labels. However, Kim Tae Woo, Danny Ahn, Son Ho Young and Park Jun Hyung are all enthusiastic about the idea of coming together once more as a group. Representatives from Kim Tae Woo and Danny Ahn’s agencies’ have even met to discuss the specifics.”

For the newer Kpop fans who are unfamiliar with group, G.O.D. stands for ‘Groove Over Dose’. They formed in 1999 and were one of the few groups to become a “million seller” in Kpop. They disbanded in 2006 to pursue solo music careers.

With the return of Shinhwa in March, anything is possible but rumors are still rumors. Any fans’ hope of a G.O.D. reunion may have been deflated as Kim Tae Woo’s agency, Soul Shop Entertainment denied reports in a statement released today.

A representative of Soul Shop Entertainment revealed in the statement, “This is all unheard of…there have been no talks between the agencies and nothing has been set.” Old school Kpop fans will have their fingers crossed as we should find in the coming weeks if there is any truth behind this madness.

Is G.O.D. feeling nostalgic? Or are they looking for a quick dollar?
