Park Shin Hye's Short Film 'One Perfect Day' To Premiere Internationally Via NYAFF 2013

For the movie intended to be the clothing brand Kolon's 40th anniversary offering, Director Kim Jee Woon's 'One Perfect Day' is granted a stage in this year's New York Asian Film Festival.

While other South Korean films will also feature, such as Korean actress Ku Hye Sun-directed 'Peach Tree', the inclusion of this short film starring Park Shin Hye is a nice break from the typical gore, intrigue and violence in other South Korean offerings at said festival.  A guaranteed short with only 35 minutes of high-def run time, Park Shin Hye fans in New York will be delighted to catch a glimpse of their favorite actress via this movie.

The official website for the NYAFF 2013 describes the film  as "Enshrined in the luxury of a superb production and the arms of a gorgeous female cast, Kim's ONE PERFECT DAY follows a young man through a purgatorial series of god-awful blind dates, which hits rock bottom with a disastrous game of rock(precisely)-paper-scissors. One day, this vicious cycle of dead-end rendez-vous looks like it might be broken when he finds... an adorable little doggy. "  Now, this makes me want to hop on a plane to New York and give this film a shot.

The short will be screened at the Walter Reade Theater in New York's Upper West Side on July 7th (5:30 PM) and July 11th (3 PM).  It will be the film's international debut and can spell many positive things in the future for the actress and co-star Yoon Kye Sang, if received well.

Next stop, Cannes or Sundance?
