PlayStation 4 Release Date November; Sony Sacrificed PS4's Supposed Camera To Cut Down Price

A German retailer might have accidentally leaked out Playstation 4 release date. Sony PS4's price cheaper because of removed PlayStation Eye.

Lots of PlayStation 4 release date rumors are swirling across the gaming industry but one of the most recent is that Sony's gaming console may arrive in November, at least according to Media Markt, a huge consumer electronics retailer in Germany.

This Playstation 4 release date rumors came up when the retailer posted an advertisement banner saying that Sony's upcoming game console will be available in their stores starting November 13. Xbit Labs cited the photo of the marketing poster that was released by Media Markt.

Media Markt is one of the largest European retailers for consumer electronics and devices, selling their products to Germany, the Netherlands and more. Many believe that they will be one of the first stores to offer the initial Playstation 4 release in the market.

Though Sony has not made any public confirmations regarding the PlayStation 4 release, it seemed that they the tech and gaming firm is already providing shipment's schedule to partner distributors and retailers.

Furthermore, PlayStation 4 is now getting much more favorable response from the gaming industry compared to its rival console from Microsoft, the Xbox One. And this leverage might have been because of its cheaper price, as it is lower than the Xbox One by a hundred bucks. According to International Business Times, the slashed PlayStation 4 price is because of the last minute decision of removing the camera, or the PlayStation Eye. The report says, "the extra $100 was meant to account for production/shipping costs of the redesigned PlayStation Eye, but Sony felt like they had an opportunity to undercut Microsoft in the eyes of the general public with a major price difference.

If the Sony PlayStation 4 release date rumors are true and it will actually arrive in the market by November, gamers and interested buyers can get the gaming device for only $399 while the Xbox One, confirmed to be released this November has a price tag of $499.
