Jodi Arias Inspired a Movie and Now a Song by the Last Bee Gee; What’s Next? Jodi Arias the Musical?

Jodi Arias is inspiring. The country has been hypnotized by the convicted killer for over a year. The Jodi Aria trial kept the talk shows and news shows and Twitter abuzz. Jodi Arias inspired a Lifetime movie. Jodi Ariasmania spread across the Atlantic and propelled the last surviving Bee Gee into the studio. Barry Gibb announced that he is writing a song inspired by Jodi Arias trial. A movie and a song, all Jodi Arias needs is a musical.

Jodi Arias will get a song from the last of the Bee Gees, the band that had the seventies iconic hit, “Staying Alive.” The lone surviving Bee Gee Barry Gibb said he is writing a song that was inspired by the sensational murder trial of Jodi Arias. Arias, who is only 33, may be put to death in Arizona after she was found guilty of the brutal 2008 murder of her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander.

Barry Gibb said, “What I am writing at the moment is a track about the Jodi Arias trial in America. The girl has been found guilty and is facing the death penalty. There will be at least one track about that – it has really struck me.”

Sounds like Barry Gibb is under Jodi Arias’ spell. Jodimania began when the attractive killer claimed that she stabbed her boyfriend 27 times, shot him in the head and slashed his throat in self-defense.

The Grammy Award winning Barry Gibb, who is 66, said he decided to write music after coming to terms with the untimely loss of his brothers. Robin Gibb was 62 when he died of colon cancer last year. Robin’s twin brother Maurice died when he was 53 in 2003. Barry’s youngest brother Andy died when he was 30 after fighting drugs and depression in 1988.

Barry said “I’m writing about the events in my life. Robin and Maurice are always with me anyway...they will be part of it.”
