Kristen Stewart: Robert Pattinson Breakup Sends Her to Buddhism and New Role; Chanting for Strength

Kristen Stewart’s breakup with Robert Pattinson has steered her to begin practicing Buddhism. Kristen Stewart is also in rehearsal for a new on-screen role. Kristen Stewart dated the 27-year-old Robert Pattinson for over three years after Stewart played Bella Swan and Pattinson played the vampire Edward Cullen in the hit movies series “Twilight.”

Kristen Stewart reportedly split from her long-term boyfriend Robert Pattinson, after a problem patch that saw the 23 year old actress caught in an affair with one of her directors last year. Since the Kristen Stewart Robert Pattinson breakup, the “Twilight” starlet began practicing the eastern religion in an attempt to bring “inner peace.”

A source told Hollywoodlife.com that “Kristen has been studying Nichiren Buddhism. It’s a type of Buddhism, where you chant Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo. Chanting is supposed to help you through tough times and bring you inner peace and ultimate happiness. Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr also practice the same type of Buddhism. [Kristen] has a couple of friends who practice and they encouraged her to get involved.”

The source said that Stewart has been “scarfing hot pockets and listening to Van Morrison music” to help her through the difficult split. Robert Pattinson has been reportedly “ignoring her” since the breakup. Pattinson has been reported to be seeing Riley Keogh, Kristen Stewart’s co-star and the granddaughter of singing legend Elvis Presley.

The insider told Hollywoodlife.com that Kristen is “actually doing pretty well, considering all the drama and heartbreak with Rob. Kristen has not seen Rob since the day he moved out. It’s been hard, I mean she lost her best friend. She is still sad, but is trying to make the best of the situation.

Meanwhile, professionally, Kristen is going in front of the cameras again. The actress began production on the movie “Camp X-Ray. “ Joseph Julian Soria, who co-stars in the film, took to Twitter to dish on the pic. On July 12, Joseph tweeted “#CampXRay rehearsal with Peter & Kristen was so great! Really good vibes!” The Peter he is tweeting about is Peter Sattler, who wrote and is directing “Camp X-Ray.” The new movie also stars Lane Garrison and Peyman Moaadi.

Joseph, who is best known for his role in “Army Wives,” also tweeted, “A small highlight of my yesterday was getting Peter & Kristen to say #Dassit!” And after rehearsal returned to Twitter to post “Don’t let others determine YOUR WORTH.”
