A representative for Evan Rachel Wood announced that she gave birth to a baby boy on Monday. The representative said “Evan Rachel Wood and her husband Jamie Bell are parents to a beautiful boy. Parents and baby are all doing well.”

Evan Rachel Wood has appeared in such movies as “The Wrestler,” “Thirteen” and played the vampire queen of Louisiana on “True Blood” on HBO. Evan Rachel Wood was nominated for supporting actor awards on the Golden Globes and the Emmys for her role in “Mildred Pierce.” Jamie Bell, 27, can be seen in such films as “Billy Elliot,” “Jumper” and “The Adventures of Tintin.”

Evan Rachel Wood has not announced the baby’s name or the date of birth, but took to Twitter to share the news "Its a boy!! Song of the day 'beautiful boy' #johnlennon.”

Wood has been keeping her fans appraised of how the pregnancy was progressing through social media. Among the tweets was a controversial message about peanut butter pop tarts and pot and "How can you be so excited to see someone you have never even met? #preggers,"

Along with the picture of the book "What to Expect When You're Expecting," Wood tweeted "Remember when i said, 'No baby on the way here,' well, I didnt know there actually was!"

Wood tweeted "Thanks for all your warm wishes. We are very happy. I'm gonna be a mama!" to the tune of Guns 'N Roses' "Sweet Child of Mine."

Last week, Wood took to Twitter to explain that she wanted to keep the personal details of the baby out of the tabloids, writing "I believe kids should be protected and not public domain. When my baby comes I would greatly appreciate no support of any pap photos. Big thanks to anyone who understands and shows their support. Lots of love... We know it wont eliminate the problem and it comes with the territory and all of that good stuff. But even a little goes a long way. Paps while sometimes harmless can be very rude and become very aggressive and people do get hurt. Its scary to have around a baby," she added.

Wood did not disclose the sex of her baby throughout her pregnancy, she tweeted to a fan that "It will get out either way, so yes we would like to be the ones to break the news when it arrives."
Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell met on the set of the video for Green Day's "Wake Me Up When September Ends" in 2005. The couple dated on and off and were secretly married on Oct. 30, 2012.
