JYJ To Possibly Be Included In Incheon Korea Music Wave 2013: Was The Whole Thing A Big Misunderstanding?

When the lineup for the music festival Incheon Korea Music Wave 2013 was announced on Tuesday, there was one act whose exclusion left many fans scratching their heads.

K-pop trio JYJ, the official ambassadors for the 2014 Incheon Asia Games, was not on the list of performers scheduled to appear at the September 1 event, to be held at the at Incheon Munhak World Cup Stadium in the South Korean city of Incheon, according to the website allkpop.

A representative from JYJ's record label C-JeS Entertainment claims it was miscommunication that led the event organizers to think that the group had turned down the opportunity to perform at Incheon Korea Music Wave 2013.

Whatever the cause, the rep says, the band and the label execs are hoping the organizing commitee can rectify the situation.

"Instead of making rash decisions, we'll be waiting for the organizing committee's final position," the C-JeS rep said.

"We have recently made a formal objection on the matter. The committee had misunderstood because the Incheon Development had told them and Tourism Committee that JYJ had rejected the offer. We straightened out misunderstandings and said that we were never even asked. We were told we'd have a confirmed stance by tomorrow."

The rep pointed out the fact that the Incheon Development and Tourism Committee is planning on rolling out a major promotional campaign featuring JYJ next month, as a positive sign they will play ball.

"The committee wants to promote with JYJ domestically and internationally on the games that start next year, starting this September. We are going to wait and trust the committee's decision."

Meanwhile JYJ's Kim Junsu isn't letting his band's ongoing legal battles bring him down.

On Tuesday, he took his American dance team to a theme park on their day off.

"The American dance team members had nothing but praise for Junsu's way of rewarding them after a tiring weekend of concerts," a member of Kim's staff told the Korea Star Daily.

"In the gap between the Seoul concerts and the upcoming Busan concerts this weekend, Junsu decided to take the dancers to the theme fun for some fun and relaxation."

According to Jeri Slaughter, the head of Kim's American dance team, the star is always up for a good time.

"Kim Junsu's happy and infectious energy can really influence everyone," Slaughter said.

"After the concert, Junsu is probably the only singer who have suggested a game of bowling for everyone. We have really worked well together to form an even stronger energy field."
