Song Joong Ki said an emotional goodbye to his fans at his final fan meeting before enlisting in the army. More than a thousand fans from countries including Korea, Japan, China and France came to the Sangmyung Art Center in Seoul to wish the actor well before his enlistment on August 27.

The press was not invited to the fan meeting, as the actor wanted it to be a private event.

"Many must be curious as it's right before he goes into the army but we will be holding it privately as it has always been," said a representative of his agency. "Song Joong Ki believes that it should be a time dedicated solely to his fans."

During the meeting Song read a letter in which he told his fans that his memories of the fan meeting will be precious.
