On Wednesday "Prison Break" actor Wentworth Miller confirmed at 41-years-old that he is a gay man in honor of the LGBT Russian community, leaving women everywhere responding.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation or GLAAD posted a letter from Wentworth addressed to Maria Averbakh, the director of the St. Petersburg International Film Festival in Russian, rejecting the invitation due to him being a gay man and how people like him are being punished for it in the European country.

"Thank you for your kind invitation. As someone who has enjoyed visiting Russia in the past and can also claim a degree of Russian ancestry, It would make me happy to say yes," wrote Wentworth. "However, as a gay man, I must decline."

The actor continued with expressing his disgust toward the treatment of Russian LGBT members and how he will stand by his decision until there is a change.

"I am deeply troubled by the current attitude toward and treatment of gay men and women by the Russian government. The situation is in no way acceptable, and I cannot in good conscience participate in celebratory occasion hosted by a country where people like myself are being systematically denied their basic right to live and love openly. Perhaps' when and if circumstances improve. I'll be free to make a different choice."

Once the public received wind of this empowering letter, the "Prison Break" hunk became an international trend. Even Neil Patrick Harris, who is an openly gay actor famous for his womanizing role in "How I Met Your Mother," had to give Wentworth a salute.

"Well done, Wentworth Miller. Bravo," tweeted Harris.

Gay activist Alex Goldschmidt happened to post Wentworth's letter to Mother Russia on Twitter to show his appreciation.

Nonetheless, there were all those women who had dreams of Wentworth breaking into their bedrooms who couldn't help but share their disappointment via Twitter.

Some ladies were in complete disbelief and denial. One gal was up for the challenge. Another simply wanted to die. A lot were heartbroken that their teenage crush would never want them.

Then there were the females who actually saw this coming.

Some years back in 2007 Wentworth was accused of having intimate relations with ABC's "Brother and Sisters" actor Luke Macfarlane, also ex-boyfriend of past "Grey's Anatomy" star T.R. Knight. Although the two were spotted hanging out, a romance was never confirmed. Now, that Wentsworth is open with his sexuality, these allegations are resurfacing.
